Do you have a pic? Depending on the color of the pony and the mark, sunfading may be the best option. Not all colors should be sunfaded though.

Yep, recasting! This famous girl all started from a Seaflower. Depending on which variation one has, you can actually see little seashells in the plastic where she had been cast with her original paint on her! visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Some ponies stand the test of time better than others. Which ponies do you think are the best and worst about aging?
My vote for best is Firefly. She may have glitter rubs, but I've hardly seen any with discoloration, head mismatch, or age spots.

I have SO many G3 dupes from buying lots, I might have to go on a fun re-rooting journey

I really like Createx paints both for airbrushing and regular painting. I tend to use paint that is too thick and try to knock it out in one or two layers. The thinner paint encourages me to work on many thinner layers for a better finished product. I do use reducer when running it through the airbrush (especially white! too thick).
I looovvee Testor's Dullcote matte finish sealant. It makes everything seem more professional and gets rid of tackiness/shininess.
For quick projects that are not too detailed I like Archer and Olive's acrylograph pens. I have a ton of colors and they are very fast grab and go. The tips are .07 so not great for fine details.
Griffin is the crackling medium enamel based? I have struggled with any form of enamel on pony plastic.

I think the 3 coloured one works for me...
The thing is that Sparkleworks with the orange and the pink hair seemed fine to me in 2003, because at that point Hasbro hadn't done orange-and-pink to death (they were working on it mind you) in the same way they have now.
Now I consider it a very dull colour scheme, but back then...it didn't seem so bad.
I agree! Orange was pretty exciting in general back then.

Oh yess Egyptian theme for the Pegasus definitely! For the unicorn maybe some planets & stars.
As for the Fjord horse I don't know what kind of horse that is but it looks Great!
Does anyone know how dismantle a G2? My mom brought home a hole bag of G2s for me from church rummage sale & they need help...
I second Sunpony. The tricky part is if they are a "gimmicky" G2 with weird motion legs or tails. Do you have any pics? Kaelynn those baits are to die for!! What paint did you use if I may ask? That Fjord is incredible too. I love how you captured so much subtle coloring in the coat. :swoon:
