Welp, as I haven't been feeling all one hundred percent in the Christmas or ANY wintery holiday type mood this year, I didn't want my cards to be overly Christmas / holiday-y feeling. So ya all get the latest update to my pony persona, Bachi, in spaaaaaaace, with Santa pony and his reindeer flying off to give presents to good little kidlings.
Yes, Bachi IS a thick madame, as I am a thick madame myself. And never a cute widdle nose, so if anyone ever cares to draw her in a FiM style, think more along the lines of Big Mac's muzzle for her. As for her height, since I did create Bachi back WELL before both FiM and the G3 line, she goes by G1 pony standard heights.
Original sketch and tight pencils were done on 11 x 8.5 inch cardstock, inked with india ink and brush. Scanned and cleaned up in Photoshop CS3. Bachi herself was colored in Photoshop CS3 via the pen tool, then imported into Illustrator CS3 to render the background vectors in. Don't ask why I did it that way, I'm a glutton for punishment, I guess! I have a weird habit of doing things the hard way just so I can learn what NOT to do. I love experimenting and trying things out without tutorials. Guess you can say I'm a tinker.
