Will you be my valentine? In this swap, you will be assigned to be someone’s valentine this year! You will be expected to get your partner a box full of valentine goodies! Your box should be based on your partner’s interests and include lots of love! It’ll be a secret swap, so shhhh! No telling who your partner is! This swap will not have a wishlist, but it will be important to let your partner know the things you like/dislike!

:heart: Budget :heart: :
The minimum for this swap is $20. You will be expected to spend at least half ($10) on a few gifts for your partner based on their interests (ponies, pokemon, Disney, monster high, dolls, etc). The other half of the budget should be spent on Valentine goodies! This includes candy, stickers, pens, whatever your partner expresses interest in!

The cost of shipping IS NOT included in the swap budget.

:heart: Rules and Regulations :heart: :
-Per arena rules you must be at least 16 years old
-You must be an active member for at least 6 months (joined by July 2014)
-You must have at least 300 posts
-You must have at least 5 feedbacks from trade/swaps on the Arena (A 100% eBay feedback may count as one if you are short)
-No negative feedback within the past two years (I will address this on a case-by-case basis)
-You must be willing to ship internationally (I will do my best match shipping preferences, but you may not refuse to ship international)
Other requirements:
-This is a random swap, so please do not contact your partner! Do not post who your partner is. If you have any questions you need to ask your partner specifically, please PM me and I will ask for you.
-Please post a minimum of two times per week in the swap discussion thread. It is very disheartening when someone’s partner hardly ever posts in the discussions.
-You MAY NOT drop out once your application has been approved. Anyone who fails to send a box to their partner will be marked as a flaker and appropriate feedback will be left.
-All gifts should be wrapped, and teasers are to be posted before shipping. It makes it more fun when everyone posts a teaser!
-The secret phrase is: pugs and kisses
-Please include a note/card/valentine in your box, so your partner knows who got them the wonderful gifts!
-Leave feedback for your partner once you have received your box
-Please post a brag of your haul! The brag thread will be started by the first person to receive their box.
-If any questions or problems come up, please contact me ASAP.

-I'm also a craft person (knitting, crocheting, sewing, decodening, making felt mascots, etc.) so receiving sewing notions (such as lace, ribbon, buttons, non-sticky velcro, fabric, craft felt, etc.) would be fabulous!
-Love stationary so pens, stickers, note pads would be nice extras (girly, cutesy themed, or kawaii themed).

I like interlocked hearts. That stenciled/calligraphic stroke is so simplisticly beautiful. :inlove:

I love the Aussie style red licorice. KitKats and Cordial Cherry Chocolates are great. Chocolate crisp anything will be devoured. ^^; Seriously, you could send me a stick of rock candy (just sugar, no color/flavor) with the words "happy valentines day" tied to it and I'd be tickled pink.

I am allergic to almonds. Serious anaphylactic shock there. >_< Yummy bringers of death.

Not real fond of peanuts. Had one too many peanut butter sandwich as a kid so I avoid them and their overpowering byproducts now. :|

- I must note, there tend to be a number of strong scented flowers that show up this time of year, all of whom I am allergic to. Daffodils, Carnations, Tulips, etc. I love the look of them but I can't breathe well/at all when around them.

Any pony on my Wishlist (http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,358207.msg1232424.html#msg1232424) or cheap/inexpensive G4s for me to ~~experiment on~~ customize with. I want the practice and $3 bodies in a Walmart bin is pretty lovely. The dragon collection I have there is little chance for me to be able to expand. When I started collecting them (http://windstoneeditions.com/catalog/dragons), they were 18-25$ each. That's not what they go for now... -_- Anything reminiscent of them would be lovely. I also have a number of small stuffed toy dragons. :biggrin: They're adorbz to me. Or if you find a Monokuro Boo bag for a deal... :whistle:

What would be good extras for you?:
Pony hair. Any color. Especially greys, purples, blues, and pinks right now. Felt squares. Fancy colors or patterns. No backing. Small art supplies like acrylic jewels in rainbow colors. One of those Shopkins blind baskets (pink season 2 preferred) would send my daughter over the moon.

Favorite colors: Pink! But I pretty much like all colors. My favorite pony is yellow (Dancing Butterflies) and Pikachu (whom I’m also a big fan of) is yellow.

Favorite animal: Sugar gliders :) Also, rabbits. (I love my pets).

What would be good extras for you?: If my swap partner is from a country different from my own (USA), I would love anything that's special to your country. Any kind of cute stationery/stickers- especially if it has hearts, cupcakes or cute animal designs on it! Chocolate, herbal teas - I love trying new flavors. I love animals, I'm a huge nerd and I like anything that is nerdy + also cute. (I'm sensitive to some scents, so lotions and candles might not be good for me.) I like handmade stuff and art, too.

Also, Valentine's Day is my birthday. :)

Candy that you like/dislike (please note any allergies!): I dislike sour candy, gummies, and black licorice. Favorite is anything chocolate (dark and milk). I like raspberry flavors and truffles and creams. I will try anything that looks yummy or different. I'd love anything unique to my partner's area!

I don't really collect anything but I like skulls (not actual skulls but items with skulls on them) and I love The Lion King.

Orange! :) Especially with yellow and red. I'm also a huuuuge fan of coral pink. And for Valentine's Day, I love white and pink together.

Favorite animal:
Zebras and dogs :). I love chihuahuas and pugs. Anything with a cute dog on it is fair game :P. I also like cats :)

Favorite valentine's theme (ex: hearts, couples, kisses, etc):
I love Mickey and Minnie. Any little knick knacks/plushes/etc with Mickey and Minnie will be loved! I also really like valentines stuff that has dogs on it, or even cats too :).

I love dark and milk chocolate! Reese's, m&ms, and Andes mints are favorites too. Love peanut m&ms and chocolate with almonds. I also love sour gummy worms, starburst, and smarties.

For Valentine's Day, there are always these suckers that come out. They are red heart suckers with white writing on them. They are my favorite suckers EVER and I will love you if you find a bag for me :) They're either strawberry or cherry flavored.

As for candy dislikes, I don't like chocolate with crisp in it (like crunch bar or crisp crunch). I'm also not a big fan of fruit and chocolate mixed. Also not big on the traditional chocolates for Valentine's (the truffles in the boxes).

I collect things from Pocahontas and the aristocats movies. Pushes, figures, etc. I'm not currently looking for anything in particular, but I collect anything from those movies so anything goes (I do have all of the McDonald's and burger kind Pocahontas stuff already). I have also started collecting Mickey and Minnie stuff, so anything with them (as a couple, not separate) on it would be loved. I also collect Disney pins. My favorite pins are aristocats or Pocahontas of course, but I also like the other dogs and cats of Disney.

I also have an unhealthy obsession with coffee mugs. I have yet to get a mug with mickey and minnie on it, so that would be a super cute valentine's gift if my partner found one :)

I think I would like to give this a try. It'll be my first swap! Applied and approved!

I am going to leave this wide open, I am pretty easy to please. ^.^

Favorite color: I like all colors: green is high up there, as is burgundy. Not as fond of pastel or neon shades.

Favorite animal: I like almost all animals, except apes and monkeys and birds. Top of the list are river otters (not sea otters) and hamsters and dragons. Any cute little critter makes me squee. I like unusual species, and nothing grosses me out. I like fantasy animals too, even obscure ones.

Favorite valentine's theme (ex: hearts, couples, kisses, etc): Probably hearts, but no strong preference.

Candy that you like/dislike (please note any allergies!): Mild allergy to caffeine. Nothing life threatening, but if you send me choco covered coffee beans, I can't eat them. :( No other allergies. I LOVE CHOCOLATE! I like chocolate and candy that is sweet and/or rich and soft. Like fudge. OMG. Anything high in calories, sugar, and fat is awesome. I am easy to please in this regard. :P I would love some foreign stuff if my swapper is outside of Canada. I like to try different things. The only thing I don't really like is coconut (and marzipan, not sure if it is made of coconut, but it tastes like it). I like milk chocolate, semi sweet dark chocolate, and white chocolate, not as fond of the really dark unsweetened chocolate. I don't think I have ever met a candy I didn't like, but really hard and super sticky caramel makes me nervous (fillings and caps!). I like nuts, and candy coated nuts, too.

What do you collect? Anything you are currently looking for?: I like Dragons, Stone Critter (mostly Stone Critter Littles from the 80's), even if they have small chips and rubs, I fix them up. G1 ponies (see below). I just found out about this thing called "Gashapon" fish. I would love some of these little guys if you happen to be able to find them. Goldfish would be my first choice, but if you get them in store, then whatever you randomly receive is fine by me! She-ra costumes would be cool (I have the dolls) or the wings for the horses, or the saddle for the pink cat! (I will have to come back and add to this later!) I like Christmas ornaments, especially animal ones, or winged ones (fairies and angels) Yeah, they are out of season, I don't care! Fridge magnets with really strong magnets in them, I especially like the flat rectangle shaped ones with either a motivational on it, a poem, a photo of a cool place or animal, a funny phrase (When I feel blue I start breathing again! for example.)

What would be good extras for you?: Did I mention I like chocolate? :P I also like stickers. I have a Scentsy burner, and I can use scented warming wax in it (of any brand, doesn't have to be scentsy). I would also love some hair for a rehair job. I have a bald but mint Daddy Bright Bouquet I want to experiment on. Whatever color you think would look good. I have NO sense for color matching. >.< I have pierced ears and love stud earrings or short dangly ones. I like jewellery in general, silver or gold, any gem color, not fussy. I don't drink coffee or tea, but I do like hot chocolate. I like scented things like lip balm, hand lotion, but I don't take baths.

I will stick a pony wishlist in here too, since I don't have it posted elsewhere:
I like G1 accessories. Especially the shaped barrettes, hair picks with hair extensions, any of the small bits and pieces ponies came with, there are so many accessories I don't have, so I will just say 'any and all'. The only ones I for sure don't need are snail rockers.
I like G1 ponywear, but I have most of it, but the baby elephant suit is one I am missing, and the pocket pal to go with it. I also need the necklace from Hearts and Candy. I don't have any really nice condition Megan and Pony wear.
I like all G1 ponies. I would especially like some mint but bald ones to try rehairing. My grails are the sea sparkle baby sea ponies, the ones with necklaces. I have none, but I do have their floats! A really nice Sunshower upgrade would also be love. But I love all G1 ponies in general. :P
I like G2 non-USA accessories and ponies.
I don't really collect G3 ponies.
G4 MIB only, brushables, I need all of the 'snowglobe' ones plus Holly Dash, Skywishes, Redheart, Sweetie Drops.
International G4's would be awesome MIB, but can be loose: Rainbow Flash, Sweet Song, Star Dreams, Star Beam, Star Swirl.
ANY G4 DVD's (can be used, I will be watching them!)

I HATE PINK. I generally like more bolder/darker color combos...black and green, purple, red..more gothic like colors but I am not really into the goth subculture.

SCENTS - citris, cucumber mellon, lavander, FRESH LAUNDRY/CLEAN LINEN. I could literally spend all day sniffling the laundry detergent stuff at walmart. I do NOT like perfume but I DO like candles and room freshners..especially those really cheap ones for like $1. I also do NOT wear make up or take baths - so no bubble bath or bath fizzies or anything like that. I DO, however like shower gels, makeup removing pads (i use them to clean my face at night) and stuff to clean my face with like noxzema. Avon products are also a plus.

Dislikes: I very strongly dislike coconut, pecans, and cinnamon. I'm also not a big fan of grape, lemon, almonds, or nuts of any kind.

Do you like bath stuff such as soaps, lotions, gels, etc?
I like lotions and shower gels. However anything that has an overly strong or cheap scent tend to bother my allergies.

What scents do you prefer? (If you like scented anything.)
I prefer fruity scents, especially blackberry. I also like floral scents if they are on the sweeter side. I can't stand powdery scents.

How do you feel about Tea, hot chocolate, stationary items, or fuzzy socks??
I love all kinds of tea, except chamomile. Hot chocolate is great too! For stationary items things like notepads and pens would be great. I'm not big on fuzzy socks.

I don't really display my ponies in pony wear, and I don't collect dolls. With one EXCEPTION! I love winter G3 ponies. I have the ponies, and I have some of their pony wear, but most are almost nakie. I like them to be fully decked out. So either stock or home made would be great! G3 sized hats, scarves, boots, ear muffs, tail bobs, or wing warmers! Sized for the babies is good too!

I do have pierced ears, and I do wear jewellery on occasion. The job I work doesn't allow dangly things, so I don't wear necklaces or bracelets very often. Ehhh I don't particularly have many dolls. And I don't typically dress my ponies unless they come with clothes in the pack.

I do have pierced ears. Some cute stud earrings would be nice. I don't tend to wear anything dangly. I hardly ever wear bracelets. If I wear a necklace it is usually my origami owl necklace.

You guys are so fast! I have picked up a few extras, but I am having a bit of trouble with the main gift. I have several things to choose from, multiple options out there, but how do I pick just the right one? :P I may have to do an eeny meeny miney moe.

Still have to find some paper. The store I stopped at had gifts bags, and spring paper, but no valentines paper! How strange is that?

I always end up using tissue paper as I can usually find them to match whatever holiday is comming up. Wrapping paper not so much. Its either B-day or wedding paper.

I like MIB G4 ponies, though an exception can be made for the harder to find international type ones, and I will probably debox the snow globe ones.
G1's - loose. For accessories, I like loose, or carded/boxed. I would keep them on card or in box.
G3's - MIB only
G2's can be loose or MOC
Everything else that I collect is loose.

I have a large breed puppy, her idea of a treat is a cow leg bone. :P She has a major fascination with squeak toys, but they have to be big enough to not be swallowed! (And she has a bunch already... honestly, they drive me insane.) My Axolotl's don't really eat treats other than blood worms.

Sure, I love my pets like they were my children and they always help me open my packages so I'm sure they'd love to get something. I have 4 cats, and a Yorkie named Cappy. They all love treats and toys. The cats prefer small, soft treats. Cappy loves any treats really. The cats like toys they can chase and toys that crinkle or jingle. Cappy loves toys that squeak (especially soft toys like plushies), toys he can chew (especially those fake wooden sticks they make), and toys he can play tug of war with (especially rope toys).

I'm happy with either. It's really hard to find MIB pocahontas or aristocats things, so by all means deboxed is fine. :). If it's old (90s or earlier) and still in box, I would keep it that way just because it's harder to find.

I do! I have five dogs, three cats, four rats, five guinea pigs, and a fish. Yes, I am crazy. Lol. The cats love boxes and will get the most kick out of the box my stuff comes in xP. But they also love jingle balls. As for the doggies, any hard chew toy is a win. They like sqeeky plush toys but they tear them apart. The guineas and rats don't need anything. Please no treats, as we have them on specific diets. But I'm totally fine if you don't include anything for my animals, so don't feel obligated! They've got plenty of toys.

Yes I do. I have a shower not a tub though, so just keep that in mind.

Likes: Japanese cherry blossom, apricot, apple, fresh cotton, pomegranate, grapefruit, mint, eucalyptus, rain, pear, peach, baby powder, pumpkin, gingerbread
Dislikes: Cinnamon, coconut, vanilla, lemon, and lavender. Also, very sugary sweet scents, really citrusy scents, or overly perfumey flower scents.
Other info: If you send candles, please put them in sealed ziploc baggies. It gets REALLY hot here and I would hate for a candle to melt all over everything else.

I like fall/winter scents like pumpkin pie, gingerbread, cinnamon, etc. I also like clean scents like sea air, clean laundry, etc. Not a fan of floral scents. A wax melt to put in my scentsy as an extra is nice, but please put it in a baggie first. I live in Arizona and even though it's February, it can be hot. We have no winter here lol

I do like shower soaps. Bar soaps are fine as long as they aren't the white Dove bars (allergies). Simple lotions made of herbs are ok but I don't always remember to use it so I have a number already.

I like candles but hubby doesn't so I don't burn them often anymore. Scents I like are rose, mango, or Sugar Cookie. Lightly floral, fruity, or very sweet.

Note: I am allergic to wisteria. Blossoms, stems, roots, leaves, all of it. They're gorgeous but bad for me. A number of other plants I'm contact sensitive to so... Kitchen herbs are generally all safe as far as I've found.

I should be finishing up this weekend. I just want to stop at my favorite gift store in Seattle. Everything's $1.50 and it's all super-cute imports from Japan. They always have beautiful wrapping paper and cards for every holiday, too - American and Asian holidays like lunar New Year (Feb 19 this year, Year of the Goat!).

How do you feel about MIB vs deboxed for your collection items, partner? - I actually prefer to enjoy my G3 and G4 ponies deboxed.

Do you have any pets? Would you want any small gifts for them? - Sure! My rabbits love apple wood twigs - or pretty much any kind of wood except pine. My sugar gliders love anything with bells or feathers - pretty much any cat toy. I have a cat, too - she also loves feather toys. She likes to groom the feathers.

Do you like bath stuff such as soaps, lotions, gels, etc? - I have sensitive skin and I'm allergic to many flower scents/oils so this can be tricky.

What scents do you prefer? (If you like scented anything.) - VANILLA is safe for me, and I love the scent of vanilla.

Tea would be a no - hot chocolate is a huge yes, especially flavored ones (mint, caramel, rolo, etc). Fuzzy socks are an easy yes. Stationary - I like stickers, and I like cute little notepads and papers and stuff, but I don't use them a lot. Fancy pencils I adore, but I don't get much chance to use them. :( Pens are good, I can always use pens. Stickers are a yes.

No thanks on tea, I only like a few kinds and have plenty. Hot cocoa and coffee are fair game though!! I love stationary, especially stickers and pens. I've got a whole box of cards, so no need for those. Fuzzy socks are fun, my feet are pretty big at 10-11 though.

I love teas! :heart: I or someone I'm our home will make use of any sent. Hot chocolate is loved but not always used right away. I don't really use stationary. Even when I can find what I did with it... But I love pens. ^.^ fuzzy socks are hit or miss. I have Large feet and I like taller socks. Not the easiest to find. :(

Yes to teas. I like to try different kinds but there are only a very few that I actually like. My favorite is STASH brand licorice spice but I can't find it anymore :( I also like the sleepytime tea and chai.
I love hot chocolate, especially if it has a special flavor. My favorite has peices of pepermint in it but I am not sure if its avalible year round or only at xmas time.
I like cute stationary and love fuzzy socks although they usually find their way into my dogs mouth >.<

I almost never drink tea, so it would probably be wasted on me. I do like hot chocolate. For stationary items I like stickers, cute erasers, mechanical pencils, cute notepads. I have a drawer full of fuzzy socks I never wear. My grandma gives me some for Christmas every year. But it is always so hot in Florida, I almost always wear flip flops during the day and it is way too hot to sleep with socks on. So no socks please.

Yeah, me too. I think we have the worst post office workers here. Half the time, its not delivered till after 6 PM. If its snows, they pass us by and claim they can't access the mailbox, which makes no sense since it's right next to the road. Its not like they have to get out of the truck to reach it, or I go to the PO and the lady has a fit because they are closing in an hour and I have an international package to mail which apparently is a big issue. She was mad because she had to enter the info into the machine right then and their. UH, don't they need to do that normally?

It did snow about 10 inches BUT the mailbox wasn't blocked.
