So this lovely gal came into my possession a little bit ago.
Aside from a hair cut and needing a bath, there isn't anything wrong with her.
Her body is white, her eyes are nice and her blush and symbols are lovely.

I was born in April, not October.
And as lovely as she is, I think I want to part with her.
Would it devalue her if I re-haired her?

I'd say if you want to sell her on, just clean her up.

Some people prefer all original.

If she was rehaired, I'd add a couple of dollars to her current value with the haircut.

Honestly do you plan on reselling her? If you do just clean her up. If she's for your collection I would rehair but possibly finding a match for her might be hard. Email dollyhair :)

If you plan on keeping her, then rehairing her would make her beautiful again :)

But if you are going to sell her, then I would leave that up to the new owner, as a lot of people would either bait her or want to keep her the way she is :) You could offer to rehair her if the buyer wants it though!

If anybody baited a birthflower pony I'd personally kick their rear end. If you can do a good job at a rehair I say she's bad enough to need it. If you aren't good at it, don't waste your own money on hair.

I agree with what others have said, if you're going to sell her I wouldn't bother with a rehair. Price of dolly hair+time involved probably wouldn't increase her value enough for it to break even/be worth it and there are lots of collectors who want the pony to be as original as possible. Plus her current cut isn't TOOoo bad lol

I guess I'd say rehair. Why not make her look her best?
Here's a baity birthflower gal that I have, (pretty much the same condition) I think they look better restored, heck I even gave her darker hair and she turned out ok:

I may also go with rehairing her too. As long as you tell everyone shes rehaired its ok. Some people perfer restored ponies. I believe its really up to you.

I'm going to go with rehairing. That's such a gnarly cut. I have lots of girls with cut hair that I intend to never rehair because they look good that way, but I can't by any stretch of the imagination view that as looking better than a good rehair.

Maybe keep the photo of the short hair for posterity, including it if you rehair and sell her?
