Yikes!

I'm sorry, I've been away from ponies for a little while, but was just about to stock up my ebay shop for a serious bit of downsizing when I thought I'd look at Royal Mail's website to check postage prices.


Postage has always been slightly wierd here (I mean it has usually been slightly cheaper to post a single pony to Russia, or Norway than, say, five miles down the road), and I know shipping is much higher just about anywhere else.  But now, prices are essentially doubling overnight (I remember domestic postage trebling soon after I started ebay), but again? Any why does it hit us pony traders hardest?  On the plus side, it seems better for multiple pony purchases! Looks like my downsizing might not be too successful again.


Out of curiosity, how is the pony market doing?

It really depends on what ponies, the sought after ones are holding thier values to some degree, the common ones not so much in my opinion.

I disagree, G1s have actually been flying recently, crazy bidding wars an silly prices.

About 4 or 5 months ago I would have agreed with ponies dropping in price and you certainly still do get the occasional ebay bargain...but at the same time there are more auctions at the moment with "wow...really?" prices than "gosh is she really that low" ones...but whether thats G4 bringing in new collectors or a little spike in the market I am not sure...with the way ponies go a couple of months and they will start dropping again

The prices for Royal Mail dont go up until 30th April - I know I am trying to get everything that needs posted posted within the next couple of weeks! At work and at home...
