Too soon to worry? ( Ebay auction shipping)
« on: December 11, 2013, 10:40:00 PM »
I won an auction on the 9th... along with many other auctions for many types of items. EBAY CHRISTMAS FOR ALL! lol well everything else is shipping out quickly, including my orders from big name stores. But the auction I won for a pony has still not been marked as shipped...

I am afraid to try and contact the seller through ebay to ask if it has been shipped and they just forgot to mark it on ebay ( it happens) because I have heard that contacting them automatically opens a case.

Do I just chill for a few more days?

Thanks

Chances are they forgot to mark it as shipped, you can simply avoid opening a case by choosing "other" under the reason for contacting them.

I would probably not worry as of yet. Do they state anywhere on their listings what their handling time is?

Mailing out of Ozark Missouri and estimated delivery on the 14th. It just hasn't been marked as shipped yet.

This is the only description on the ad

"Vintage My Little Pony. Dated 1984 By Hasbro. It Is A Yellow Color With Multi Color Hair. It Has A Mirror Printed On Both Back Sides. When You Twist The Head The Tail Hair Goes Inside Of The Pony, Then You Can Pull It Out. It Is Used, Light Wear, Good Condition. Cute! Good Luck!"

If you click on the tab that says "shipping and payments", it should show their handling time. Some sellers ship within 1 business day, other's will note 2, 3 or more business days.

I wouldn't worry yet, but if you are concerned, you can contact them without opening a case.

When ebay updated their listing forms, the longest shipping time frame now you can choose from is 3 days!

I wasn't aware of that since I still run across listings with a longer shipping/processing time. When I list items I'm not even aware of the section where it gives me the option to change my settings since I always ship within 24 hrs. Thanks for the heads up :)

I wouldnt worry just yet - its still only 13th Dec :)  your estimated delivery time isnt until tomorrow and some people just forget to mark the item as shipped. I do still come across sellers who take longer than 3 days to ship the items  though  , so I always still double check what they said as to their shipping/handling times even if US ebay expects them to ship sooner than 3 days .  Hopefully your pony will arrive soon

That's not true. You can chose something longer than 3 days for handling, but ebay considers it excessive. (4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30...)

Also, :) Don't worry yet. It's still got a bunch of time to get to ya. I recently had someone ship something with no tracking, so it wasn't marked as shipped. So people still do that.
