Shipping Option on ebay?
« on: September 17, 2013, 05:15:41 AM »
So I was viewing this pony on ebay and it has two shipping options to choose from. One price being $4 and the other $13. I "Best offered" the pony and seller accepted but when invoiced, only the $13 shipping is available. I PM'd the seller and they were like no, only can ship it with the $13 amount. So I went back to original listing and the $4 option is still there. Do I need to contact ebay about this? I made my best offer price counting in the $4 for shipping, not the $13. I've never not had the option to choose which price I wanted so this is new to me. How can they offer it on the live auction but invoice me with no option?

It sounds to me that when she listed it she gave two options. Because there would be no other reason you were given two different one's to begin with.  Then when she invoiced you she removed the cheaper method. Which honestly how in the heck is she shipping it out for $13? It should be at the most $6, maybe $7 to go Priority. Sounds like she's trying to make an extra $5??

If she is uncooperative I would probably phone Ebay and explain what you have here. They maybe able to do something about it.

Yeah, it sounds like she sent an invoice to only offer the more expensive option. Probably trying to "recover" whatever she "lost" in accepting the offer. I would honestly just cancel it if she thinks it costs that much for one pony. You only have to pay what is shown in the auction, if that was $4, that it what is fair.

I agree with ponylady and himmie, you have some great advice. I've never had a seller remove the cheaper shipping option either.

Definitely sounds like she removed the cheaper option to get back the money she lost by accepting the best offer :(  not good.

If she is uncooperative I would probably phone Ebay and explain what you have here. They maybe able to do something about it.

This is what I would do too ^^

Called ebay and they told me to PM her which I already had. Seller stated it was an accident to give the $4 option. So I Let them know I wasn't paying the $13 (since ebay told me too and I wouldn't have anything against me) and to cancel the sale. Seller resent invoice with shipping for $4 but I didn't see it for a couple days. Just forgot to check on there until I started shopping for the baby swap and noticed they had opened a case. It was my fault for not checking back but it's paid now and soon on her way to me.
