Title: Royal Mail hasn't delivered packages :(
Post by: bright rabbit 1 on November 17, 2017, 05:07:02 AM
Royal Mail (UK) hasn't delivered my package from Tafeeta (ponies) or my package from Game uk (Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon deluxe edition).

Waited over a week for the ponies, the game was supposed to come today (released).

These are much worser than Hemes. (For the people who don't trust Hermes know what I'm talking about).

Post came today but it was the ponies from eBay.uk that were delivered.

I'm so  :enraged:

If you have the tracking number give them a call or send them an email and report you have yet to get the package.

My preorder games usally ship out the the day they realise and I get them 2-3 days later.

Sent them an email, haven't heard back from them.

Getting sick and tired of videos on YouTube where people are going on and on about their Pokemon 3Ds games on how they're progressing through said game.

Wish they hurry up and get my stuff here.

Is it bad that I keep thinking that the dark spawn from Dragon Age Origins are people who work at the post office?

Game was shipped yesterday. IT was sent first class.

Yeah, it kind of is.

If videos on YouTube and making you mad, just quit watching them.  You're just spoiling the game for yourself.

I've kept deleting them from my emails (23 out of 30 emails all of them to do with the new Pokemon games). I don't watch the videos, I just ignore them and continue watching Dragon Age videos, because I'm stuck on who to get the main characters (Warden, and Hawk). Trouble is the ads all have the new Pokemon games. And you can't skip them.

1.  Is it possible they left a pick up notice and it blew away or got lost? It may be worth going in person to see if your package is there?

2.  Could your packages be stuck in customs?  Sometimes I've noticed Royal Mail will hold things- say they've left a note (when sometimes they seem not to have) until the recipient pays some customs fee or something.  Maybe worth a check?

I was in all day yesterday, a van normally delivers my things from Game. My local Post Office, is so slow at doing things like this (had trouble with the local post office before) it's not worth talking to them.

Hopefully they might come today.

So 2 days, that's actually pretty standard for games, and a week and a half, also pretty standard for domestic post in pretty much any country, that's what it took for me in the UK last year when I was there, I had things shipped to a friend for pick-up at Ponycon when I got to the UK. A few days to get to the sorting centre, a few days sitting there sorting, then back out again. It's getting to the busier time of year, you have to expect slight delays. Royal mail are one of the few mail carriers around the world I've never had an issue with, at least you got your packages in the end, even if they were 2 days late!

To be fair, the package I sent to bright rabbit was sent on the 6th and arrived on the 18th. Which incidentally is the last day it could realistically arrive via the method it was sent without the postal service declaring it lost. I have no idea what was going on in the sorting offices there because in the same time frame I sent ponies to Norway and the US and both arrived at their destinations before these ponies got to brightrabbit! So we were both very cross with the post service by this past weekend!

Luckily they did arrive, but two weeks is extreme for internal UK mail. I have one more package to send tomorrow to another ponyperson in the UK and I have absolutely refused to send it second class after this experience ;)

*sigh* oh well. All's well that ends well at least.  New ponies (and the new game, I see!) safely arrived. Phew.

This is concerning as I have 5 zhus and multiple presents I have ordered and so far only the beaver has arrived. I assumed it was the snow but today the van arrived and then left with nothing for me.

According to forests tracking, he is in storage at Gatwick waiting to be processed. Why is he there and when will he leave It?   Bad enough there's all the holiday post slowing the system to a crawl but the snow can't have helped things either. (though my snow  nessie was lovely)

Snow disrupts the connection between locations and if it us not safe for collections to happen then they won't. We had 15cm of snow at home and schools were closed for 3 days. Transport thriugh the midlands has been affected and a lot of stuff travels through those areas. Apparently its now snowing again at home and we are not even that far north. Trains and transport have been affected and just because your local van is out isn't a reason to panic ;) It will probably arrive safely - better a delay than an accident.
