Anyone else having...
« on: June 20, 2012, 05:51:51 PM »
issues getting onto ebay?  Our Norton is not letting any ebay pages do more then load and then we get a warning that the page is fraudulent.  I have not changed any of my settings or had any updates to my system in the last 24 hours which is when we last went on.

We only have Fire Fox and it was so not working.  What version FireFox are you running?

Norton isn't a trustworthy antivirus suite :/  It overreacts to things, but still lets nasty stuff in and it drains your system.

I would ignore it, since if it's letting people through on a separate browser, then it's not an attack from eBay, but Norton behaving badly.

Very odd, indeed.  I've had no issue with eBay today, and I use Chrome.

No problems here. I use Seamonkey (which is based on Firefox) and Avast.

Is it happening only to people with Norton?

Yep. I had Norton in 2006. It was definately useless. Avast and Kasperky seem to be the best ones.

Unfortanutley, when my stepdad got two Laptops (One for my parents and one for me.), he bought Norton for them as well. I didn't want to tell him it was a bad choice after he had paid all that money, so I kept quiet about it. XD

As soon as it expires, I'm getting the free version of Avast.
