Hello ColdRuru, YES I still have all my horses apart from Prancer Prince whom i have never got over loosing, he was lost during a house move and i was devestated, He was such a lovely boy and i've never as yet been able to replace him.

The Sindy horses are great, my first one Blackie, arrived for Christmas Day 1980, i ended up with 5 of them as a child along with several Marx cowboy horses that Mum picked up for me from charity shops and jumble sales, along the way.

If i could fathom out how to get the photos on here i might someday get to show you my collection! Childhood and otherwise,  :)

Pony Corral / Re: What was your Ponyland like as a child?
« on: March 20, 2019, 12:02:42 PM »
Hope no one minds me joining in with this so lovely thread!

I never had a MLP land as a child, sadly. The nearest i got to it was watching the cartoons and dreaming of those ponies in that magical place.  I played with Sindy and Barbie and had loads of their lovely horses so my pony land was a different type of pony land!  to everyone elses. :)

Now of course it's forever pony land and i can have all those ponies i dreamed of as a child. I got Majesty early last year and cried buckets over her when she arrived, and then Lemon Drop not to mention all the ones i had got before them.

I love them all very much and even though i dont have room for the playsets,  i enjoy grown up play time with them.

Yipee for ponies what ever our age!!

Hi everyone, i've loved reading/looking at this thread! I made a nativity scene for last Christmas with some of my ponies, and made them simple felt capes and a cover for baby jesus, (baby apple). i loved it.

I was just thinking i find local charity shops a great place to get knitting needles, wool from. sometimes you have to ask the staff, though, as they don't always have them out on display. :)

The Dollhouse / monster high repairs
« on: February 19, 2019, 11:00:40 AM »
Hello every one. I have recently aquired a large bundle of MH dolls that need various repairs, mostly arms and a couple Gigi Grant and Abbey Bomnible need new legs. of course i felt sorry for them and purchased them!

what i need help with is How on earth do you put replacement arms/legs in? Gigi an Abbey still have broken leg joints in them, I have had a go at trying to open the seems but have ended up with a nasty knife cut!

Any help would be appreciated on what is the best to do!

I dont want to give up on them, but because of health limitations i'm not very good!  It was one of those things that seemed a good idea at the time!

Just want to say that i have received a set of replacement arms and was delighted to find that they just clip into place or rather push up into place,  so that at least is a huge releif! I can do that, Yeah!!

Pony Corral / Re: Emotional responses to certain ponies?
« on: February 10, 2019, 11:06:03 AM »
Yes, i agree with that. For me the G1 ponies evoke the sense of happy christmas past, of total make believe and oh so happy times. I never had ponies as a child but i always would have liked them. I think maybe, too, the pony itself gives off that feeling of childhood joy, i know this may sound silly, but it is almost as though the child who played with that pony leaves the feeling behind within the pony forever, for others to tap into. Thats what i like to think anyway. :)

I'm also like this with teddy bears, and some dolls. Also sindy and barbie horses, too! :lookround:
