Probably a stupid question, but does anyone know what Wal-Mart is charging in-store for Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast? It just came out on DVD this past day. Online I can't find anything cheaper than $19.99 and I was hoping that there would be better prices for the first week or so. I had wanted to go out and see, but I didn't get to, and I'm worried that by the time I definitely can get to Wal-Mart on Monday, any sale prices will be gone. But if I knew there definitely was a nice sale price, maybe I could figure out a way to get there this week. On the other hand, if $20 is the cheapest, I won't have to feel too bad if I don't make it out. LOL.

Walmart as $19.99 in store for the DVD. We didn't buy it. I wasn't happy with the release price either.
-
Sigh. Not cool indeed. Thanks!

Recently, I've noticed that Walmart hasn't been having release week sales like they've done in the past. Target still does; though it's usually not a very big sale - the Beauty and the Beast DVD is $17.99 and the bluray/DVD combo is $19.99.

I bought Beauty and the Beast at Walmart yesterday. It was $17.96 for the DVD (regular price $19.99) and $ 19.99 for the Blu Ray combo pack

So not all Wal-Marts have the same price. Hmm. That means I should check ours this week, if possible. Do you know how long the sale price was going to last?

This is the same price at my Walmart. Usually the sale prices last until Saturday or Sunday of the release week where I live.

Pokeyonekenobie is probably right about how long the discount will last. :) I was also expecting a higher release week discount.

I think Disney's prices may have just gone up.
I was eyeing the Blu-Ray release today @ Target, but I'm trying to wait.

We bought it, but since I'm in Canada my info would not help you. I really enjoyed the movie, though, for what that's worth.

I checked the shelf tags at my Walmart and they said the price break is good through today.

Yeah, I love the movie and hope I'll be able to get it soon. :)

Aww, thanks! Wasn't able to get out, but maybe mine didn't have the lower price anyway. And I was hoping to pay less than $18 for it. I'll see what happens in the future....

I bought it from target last week for $19.99 for the Bluray/DVD/Digital copy. The DVD only was $17.99 I believe. Pretty typical price if you ask me.
-
I know for a fact that here in the U.K when it comes out it will be £10 for the DVD and £15 for the Blu Ray.
-
If I'm not mistaken, it is still $19.99 for the Bl-Ray at Target (unless they forgot to take down their sales tag.)
Struck me as odd.

It's Disney, and the film did really well in theaters. Of course they'll charge as much as they think they can get away with. I haven't seen a copy for less than $20. Of course, I bought it anyway XD
