I just ordered the 3 large styling ponies and rainbow power twilight and applejack SPRING14 gave me 20% off and free shipping! So I'm getting them shipped for like 5 bucks less then retail! I'm over the moon! My total was only 34.75!

I'm pretty sure it actually is glue. I washed it with dish soap and warm water and combed it with a fine tooth comb.

Repeating over and over. Whole process took about an hour but her hair is no worse for wear and is soft and normal under all that goo!

The comb started picking up rolled up white gunk and that's when I was sure it was glue. I washed it out due to being paranoid about what the glue may do to her hair over time.

Good luck getting her all soft! Just be patient  :)

I have no real idea, I'd assume the gel is harmless, BUT the oldest released doll I got last year was a dotd Cleo. Her hair was very gelled and had massive nastiness. Her bangs touched her face the whole time in the box and part of one her eyebrows is like...melted off. I'm not sure if her hair issues are from the gel sitting long term( Dotd cleo also has full on helmet gel) or if its the general quality control of that specific doll. When I washed it small chunks of hair fell out as well but they did not even seem to be rooted so I wasn't worried. Sorry if that answered nothing :P After I got her I wash all my dolls just in case though.
