BlackCurtains:
I'm supposed to have a meeting with someone at 2pm and she's late. Now I'm all anxious.

Taffeta:
Local bus operator is voting on strikes. I have absolutely no other method of getting to work, save taxis, which I hate because being in a stranger's car terrifies me...so that's going to be so much fun if it happens.

I'm hoping because mine is a bus under local government franchise it won't be so easy to cut it - breach of contract with the council - but it's still drivers from the same company so I'm not sure what will happen.

BlackCurtains:
Man, that's terrible, Taffeta. You don't have anything like Uber or Lyft? I guess it's the same as a taxi but here you can pay a little more and get a nice car to pick you up, so you're not all crunched up in some jalopy. I'm usually super anxious until I actually get in the car and can see the person, and tbh most have been pretty friendly. Actually, the only really bad drivers I had (including the Jesus Van that I busted my shin on) were from companies working for my insurance's free transport. Also, at least here, Uber can't refuse service if you're disabled.

So my meeting went okay but I got a major cramp in my hand from signing so many papers. The lady was very nice though and said I didn't need to write in the date, that she'd do it for me afterwards. I don't know how long she's worked in the front office but I haven't been over there in a while. There were a couple of things she needs to ask the property manager about so my paperwork isn't done yet. I might need to fill out more forms Monday. We'll see. Oh, also this is for my lease renewal.

I've been having a very hard time sleeping at night. My lungs close up and I can't breathe. I can't really prop myself up because if I lay on my back in any way, my arms and legs go numb and also it hurts my back tremendously. It's hard to side sleep propped up. I'm thinking of getting a  Vick's humidifier, one that runs all night. The Vick's formula has stuff to help you breathe and suppress coughing, which I seem to do a lot of when laying down. I'm just not sure how Aster will like it. I know cats don't like strong smells. But without insurance I can't get an inhaler and the ones you can get OTC don't have the medicine I need. I read that breathing problems are worse at night. My lungs don't feel all tight like this during the day.

Honestly, they scare me even more. But I won't use any taxi on my own, because I find it impossible to read a stranger's motives, and so feel unsafe in a stranger's car. I have had lifts home from work from colleages, which is fine because I know them, but I can't really ask for that because it's putting them out and I'd feel awkward. So I will just have to find someone to come with me in the taxi if I have to take that option. Nobody in my house drives now, and we have no car.

I'm glad your meeting went ok :)
