My Valais Blacknose wool arrived! I bought more than I thought  It was listed by grams not ounces but I thought I'd used a converter calculator. Well, anyway, I have lot!

And here's the Teeswater locks I bought before that. It's hard to find jet black wool, at least on Etsy from the US. The UK has a lot of wools in different natural colors but the shipping is ridiculous.

These locks are a lot softer than the Valais, which is sort of rough but I think it's unwashed? I'll have to recheck. Ah, it's stated as 'gently washed'. Well, it doesn't really matter what it feels like. Only thing is it came wrapped in paper and I'm sure if I have a a container big enough for it. And my wool storage is out of hand anyway, I need to make more projects because I have so much wool

That jellyfish is so cute! As is the hat.

Cute worm (I love yellow). I love the fuzzy seal!

I'm in a big mood to needle felt. I think I'll try a more realistic sheep for practice.

Exactly!!! This lot is me after a few weeks of crochet, getting the tension right, practising the stitches, following a few patterns, & experimenting!!! There are plenty of tutorial vids on Youtube to get you started so you can learn the basics, & though I still have to take my time, I'm getting there!!!

Oh & have a fantastic bd Shaiyeh!!!

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement!  :grouphug:

I was really bad at crafts at school because my teacher didn't know how to teach me (or I felt like she didn't even want to) because I was the only left-handed person in my class. I started to hate those classes and crafts because of that.  :(
At that time, I managed to make something like a potholder and a neckerchief (which, as I recall, seems to have been left unfinished, and I don't even know where it is).
I just loved the art classes, but they had the same teacher and to whom I resisted as a teenager, because I didn't like the assignments she gave me and I would have liked to be able to make art freely (e.g. I would have liked to choose the model to draw myself, choose which technique I wanted to use..). :pout:

My mother likes to knit wool socks and she has made quite a few of them for me and herself. She has also tried to get me excited to try making them, but I'm not really excited yet. It seems too complicated for my brain.

I've tried crocheting a few years ago, but it kind of fell into a knot and I lost interest in it.
I really like needle felting, but it's been a long time since I did it last. I should still have the supplies and felting wool needed for it somewhere, but I don't remember where they are.
