A replacement word for Grundles

BlackCurtains:
Agree about 'knockers' being more NSFW

aria_elwen:
But to grundle means to have a little grumble and they're always grumbling about things.

Taffeta:
The alternate meaning of grundle has no meaning here in the UK, but it also seems to be very recent, at least not before the early 21st century. Calling out terms from things twenty years older sits badly with me, as a historian there's no need for it :)

Knockers, meanwhile, has been a definitely NSFW term for decades including during the time the show was produced, so no thank you. I did see 'knackers' as one alternate spelling for this as well and internally I died a bit...

As aria-elwen said, the eighties meaning for grundle was to grumble, there are actually multiple meanings that are not offensive. You kind of have to choose to see it as rude in order for it to be rude, unlike knockers which...yeah. Anyway.

I mean, honestly, "Kiwi Tart" "Crumpet" and a few other pony names are also a bit questionable...

brightberry:
Oh no! I wish I didn’t just learn that.

Oh well, I’ll probably forget again in a few days.

Beth3346:
not as bad as what i thought for the name of a goblin like creature from the 1980s. :good:

but yeah maybe inappropriate for kids but given that it's a G1 toy and we're all 30+ at least. i'm not bothered. if we had the internet back then it may have been a bigger issue.
