I love the big brother/adventure boy ponies, and I especially like the cute accessories they came with! And I think it would've been cute if the Mountain Boys had come with accessories as well.
So I'm curious:
what kind of hat do you think each mountain boy would have?
What color bandana would they have?

Hi there everyone
Recently I bought a Mountain boy Sunburst and when I received him I noticed immediately his hair felt strange. It was thinner and more slippery then any pony hair I've felt before.
I opened the head up halfway and noticed the original washer and clamp are in there but I'm sure it's not difficult to reuse the clamp.
After that I asked the seller about it and she said the texture was due to a treatment she put on the hair called show sheen and will wash out. Actually I had already washed him at this point and the hair feels the same. And the tail just looks thinner than usual.
She is upfront about other types of restoration work in her other listings but I know a re-hair would lower the value more than other types of work.
Is there anyway to confirm a re-hair? What do you think about this situation?

Hi friends
I'm seeking your advice on a crazy Craiglist pick up I'm dealing with right now. Here is how it went:
So I saw a posting for a garage sale on Craiglist, but only after it has finished. I saw some G1 and G3 ponies that I'd like to have (they were in a box labeled 2$ per pony) so I thought I'd ask if she had any left over from the garage sale. She replied that she did (and she knew their names, it always makes me nervous when non-collectors know pony names they have probably been looking at "values" on eBay) so I arranged to pick them up.
Yesterday was the pick-up day, unfortunately I ended up having to work later so I couldn't go. My fiance offered to go for me so nicely. Well when he got there apparently she said the cost of 1 pony and a bag of breezies was 50$! How did it go from 2$ to 50$? She also turned her dog on my fiance and had her husband come over. My fiance didn't give in as I told him the cost and have him the exact cash.
Anyhow an hour or so after my fiance got home she messaged me saying "can I have the pony back? My daughter who is 9 is not happy"
I am not convinced it's her daughter that wants it back, but rather she wants it back to try and scam someone else. But I don't know what to do next. I have sold things I regret but it's too late once you have sold it. I am worried she might do something crazy like harass me, or try looking up my address or my mom's address to come and do something.
What should I do now? I haven't replied to her last message but wonder what you might do

Hi everyone Sometimes I like to go through my old photos on my laptop to feel nostalgic and I have a set from October 2002 during my birthday which happen to feature a lot of my pony collection (yes during my bday we ended playing with the ponies and we were teens ^_^;) At that point I had only been collecting for a couple years, and I found most of my ponies at goodwill or flea markets. But I thought it would be fun to share the pics, and see some of your collections when they were just starting! Please feel free to share your old collection photos, memories of collecting in the early 2000s or some Before and Afters  visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI edited my face you can focus on the pretty ponies, I only had 3 small shelves and none were filled completely. I forgot I've had some of these ponies so long and I didn't complete the Glow and Show set until last year! Yes I am putting leg warmers on Tex's head... What was you collection like when you were first starting? How did you make it grow?

Hi everyone
I would like to get some opinions on the stinky ponies I just received haha
I bought a lot of ponies on eBay, specifically stating they did not smell like smoke, well I guess that's true because they stink of exhaust (maybe disel or oil)! I feel they were stored in garage for a long time.
One of the ponies is a more rare one and I paid market rate for the lot, besides the stink they are near mint! I know covering items in baking soda removes smoke, but I wonder if it would help with exhaust.
I will contact the seller, but should I return them or try to remove the smell?

Hi everyone
I hope this question will not look silly, I've researched around a bit and without conclusive results I thought it might be good to throw it out here
I have been cleaning ponies (particularly G1 in this case) for quite some time, and my first step has always been to wipe the pony once with a sanitizing wipe basically just to kill gems as that is a big concern to me
My question is do you think this may be in the long run detrimental to the PVC?
I use bleach free clorox wipes and I don't see chlorine in the active ingredients but it does contain chloride
Is it a step you do, or would skip? Thank you so much for your time and input!

I just touched up some errors on my Meowlody, Purrsephone and Howleen dolls. Such as nose paint rubs, a partially missing eyebrow, smears etc.
So I'm wondering if I need to seal these small touch ups, or will they be ok unsealed as I don't use them as play dolls? I already have Mr. Super Clear so I can do it.

I am happy to be able to post again so quickly, though there have been waaaay less ponies at the thrift stores lately (or perhaps more collectors there  I was able to find a few cuties, and I'd like to share the items I got on Valentine's day. One I had in childhood and sooo cute.
