I have a pearlized Starlight Glimmer who is super oily feeling so I share your concern. I would recommend using dish soap with gloves! By the way, does anyone know if this is just from the type of plastic, or some weird chemical coating and/or chemical breakdown occurring in the newer ponies?
After years of collecting G4's, I can truly say that quality has gone downhill hard. Like, hard hard. Like if a boulder hit a concrete floor hard. My main complain with them though (besides the newer molds) is the head and hair quality. The body plastic hasn't really changed much, but the head plastic quality used to be so nice, matte, and DIDN'T feel cheap. The hair quality was at it's prime back in 2010-2013 but now hasbro has decided to be cheap (especially with the tails (they get super frizzy))Basically, it's normal to expect bad quality from hasbro nowadays, and it's quite a shame!also I don't know if i can link other things here, but I made a video about "How To Fix Frizzy Pony Hair" (link- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjiLO7LYjGY )Thanks!
