Fairy Tales Mods?

Has anyone done anything with the Fairy Tales birdies?  Restoration or customs?  A local friend has commissioned me to make a couple of ponies for her, but has added that she's got a Fairy Tales bird who is "in need of a makeover" that I'm more than welcome to play with. 


Can I see some examples?

Yay!  I'm leery about whether to do much more than just a restore, since I'm not sure about how rare these guys are, so I probably won't do anything too drastic to her.

I've got 2 of them that a friend gave me. I have a couple ideas on what to do with them but yeah...waiting for motivation to strike!

If you can figure out how to give them a new tail, I'd be veeerrrryyyy interested! I have a birdy with a chopped tail, and it's pretty sad!

That should be easy enough.  I carefully cut out the foot plug (similar to a glued on pony neckplug).  You just pop the feet out and there is all the easy access to the tail and head.  A quick reglue and you should be good to go!

I have several of these but I didn't buy them to redo them or fix them as they are all really nice.  It would scare be to death to mess with them, if I had a bait though I would try to take the bottom where the feet are off as Colorscapesart said.  I am curious how it looks in there...so if you do this could you post a photo of how the tail is held together in there? As well has the hair on the head? Mine..if you push on the hair on the head it sinks in and thats odd to me.

I used to have one of these when I was younger, but haven't been able to find it. I love their long tails.
Hmmm... This might be something I have to hunt for when I have a little more funds.
