BAH! I'm such a slacker! I need to get my butt in gear and get these photos up! You guys are blowing me away with all these beauties!

 Thanks! That's nuts, my Walmart has like... 4 colors, hahaha but great to know those colors exist because that's the brand I've gotten in the past too, the only sort of pastel color I have right now is yellow but it's still pretty vibrant. I think I just need to wait until spring colors come out.

Either way, if you ever make any princesses like that again, you've got a buyer lined up right here. They are so stunning.

I might do another round sometime! I have a Princess Dawn that I got in a lot from Goodwill, so her set may be the next up on deck!

Also, I can pop into my Walmart and see which colors they've got in. Believe it or not, the one near my work that I go to has an entire aisle of yarn, and every color of the H.T. USA stuff.

Thanks guys!
Hey Cate - if you are lurking and read this, where did you find such lovely colors of yarn? Every place I go lately has been either dark fall colors (which of course, I hope is changing soon now to lighter ones) or very bright like POP colors, but I LOVE the colors you used on your princesses, they're so soft and beautiful!

*steps in from the shadows* How did you see me?  :lookround: LOL

I've got so much yarn its not even funny, but the stuff I used on the princesses and most of my rehairs (including a few of the MH girls I've rerooted) came from Wally world, but I know other places carry it too. I found it at Meijer initially, but they had a pretty limited selection, and then I stumbled across it at Walmart, and they had almost every color imaginable. The brand is called Hometown USA by Lion Yarns or something like that. Its 4 ply, so one skein gets you a TON of rehairs. Of everything I've bought to do rehairs with, I like this stuff the best. It fluffs nicely for PP style, with just a smidge of a crimp, but it also flat irons out stick straight and is still super silky and moves naturally. I've found a few other types that work well too, mostly the baby acrylics, but they get kind of a dry, course texture when they're brushed out, and even still after they're straightened.

wow! do you know how amazing that gallery is??
who can I request to upload mine on my behalf when I have some new ones?? :flow:

At the moment, myself or Sunshine :) I am in the process of setting Saja and Cate up as well so that they can upload too :)

However, if you post them here in this thread, I ll catch them and get them added to the Gallery that way as well. I ll try to do weekly up dates.

Woot! I've got a bunch of girls waiting on good natural light for pictures. Here's to hoping the sun makes a bit of an appearance tomorrow so I can get some good shots.

It's finally here! And only after the PO decided to keep it for a month... But you know what? It was TOTALLY worth the wait. I could not wait to get home and see what was inside, so I came home on my lunch break to bust that puppy open! TIKI, YOU NAILED IT. :D

(I hosted all the images via tapatalk, so if they don't show for anyone, please let me know and I'll fix them!)

Hey Ma! What's in that box? Sumpin' for me?

Now, onto the ornaments!!
The first one I unwrapped, I gasped so loud my fiancée came running from the other room to make sure I was ok...

He looks beautiful on my tree, but he's not going away with the rest of the decor when I pack it up. I'm going to hang him in my kitchen window to keep an eye on my herbs! Gorgeous, is he not? :)

THIS GUY. I don't even have words... I love everything about him! He fits with the woodland theme of our tree (and well, our whole house actually...) so well. I absolutely adore him.

Vinny also seems to really enjoy him. (He has to touch and taste everything...)

And finally, a beautiful Siamese ornament! It looks like my Lilly Liu did when she was a kitten, before her face and ears got dark! So dang cute!

"Dis look like me when I was kitten. Where you find?" Lil approves!

Guess what was on my porch this morning when I left for work!? It's here it's here!!  I won't have a chance to open it till I get home, but it finally made it! The box is in great shape too! I would have assumed they smashed and squashed the heck out of the poor thing, for as long as thy had it! :p Thank you Tiki!!

*Side note: don't ever forward mail during the holidays... The PO will take almost a month to get your stuff to you. >_<

Hmm...i am pretty sure my friend had never experienced snow or cold weather before. Well, maybe she had seen snow before but not icy streets/roads. Come to think of it, Fairbanks was the only place I lived where they did not put salt on the roads because it was too cold out to melt the ice. They have these ice breaking trucks with big blades that break up the ice on the roads.

So according to tracking, the box has gone back to Allen Park, which is where the main sort facility is. I called my PO today, and they said since it was being forwarded, it had to go from Rochester, back to the main sort facility in Allen Park, where it should be being resorted and sent to Auburn Hills, which will then get it on the truck to me. The lady said if it got back to the main sort facility yesterday (which tracking said it did)  it should have gotten on the truck to Auburn Hills today, and will be delivered tomorrow, Monday at the latest. I'm keeping my frozen little fingers crossed it gets here tomorrow! :)

I'm sure it is, we still haven't gotten mail yet today. We are still getting snowed on, and it's not supposed to let up until around 8pm. Every time I hold out hope that darn box is going to show up, another storm rolls in! I did ask my neighbors about the mail lady though, and they did say this one doesn't like to get out of her truck to deliver packages that won't fit in our mailbox, but she does usually leave a pick up slip to come get it from the actual PO. I'm going to call them today and see if anyone can tell me what's going on.

13
Don't even worry Tiki, I'm not mad! :) Save the best for last, right?! I'm super excited to get it!

14
Lol SERIOUSLY! I'm not even joking when I say I'm only 5 minutes from my old address! I know the holidays slow everything down, but this is just ridiculous!

If it doesn't show up by Friday, I'm going to start raising hell. Get your crap together PO! Dartfinger is coming for you!! :flamethrower:

Nope. Nothing yet... :/
