Edit: She's from a craft kit. I've never heard of it until it was brought to my attention, but it's interesting. A little background: I came back home from college for the weekend to look after the cat, and before deciding to take a nap, I found a bag of ponies on my bed containing a G4 McRainbowdash, a G1 baby Sniffles (Without her sister for some reason...) And, well, this Rainbow dash statue. Does anybody know what this actually is and where it came from? I've tried several different keywords on google images. My Little Wiki didn't have anything on it, either. It has no date or manufacture markings on it whatsoever and is hollow at the bottom. It looks like it might be a cake topper or something? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginExcuse the blurriness, this tablet's camera function isn't the greatest and it's very shiny.

Great finds. Interesting the fakie has a code on her feet. Maybe she was a spy agent in her former life? 
OOH! Possibly! Maybe she acted as some sort of marker for that batch or something, where they could see "oh, ok, that item goes into that box marked whatever" and put more of her in that box for shipping. But, really, it's a lot more fun to think she's special secret agent L-04-B2A

The Pinkies are from the Target exclusive Pinkie Pie's Boutique line!
That makes sense they're target exclusive. We don't have a target close to me. ^^"

With the pink fakie, you could always: clean it up, and display her like a normal pony, you could steal her hair and use it for replacement hair if you find a bald real pony, you could customize and repaint her, steal her head if you find a headless G3 pony (Like I did with my Spring Fever who came wo me from an Ebay lot with no head at all), you can do a lot of things with fakies!

EEE yes!! They were a little hard to brush out, especially with the tinsel in Hidden Treasure's and Starcatcher's hair, but I'm proud of myself for them losing only a couple strands of normal and and almost no tinsel loss  Also Don't worry about Starcatcher's tiara going missing in the after picture, Didn't realise I left it on my desk and took a picture anyway! That fakie's expression looks so much HAPPIER doesn't it? 
Heh, fakies of that particular mold are one of my favorites because of how happy they are. Not too overbearing, but noticeably in more of a good mood than say, a G3 mold fake. She fits RIGHT in!

Got a bag of ponies again at a thrift store. All except one are G3s, the fourth being a fakie. It looks like they were very well played with before I got them, as their hair was all tangled, slightly greasy, and the Fakie and Twinkle Twirl both had rotten rubber bands welded to their legs. Where is every pony finding fakies lately?
As for me, I usually find them thrift shopping, A lot of times they're bundled in with genuine ponies or are at the bottom of bargain "4 items for a dollar" bins in thrift shops. Places like Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, tend to have fakies, too, but not as interesting as the ones you find thrift shopping. Usually you find giant G3 mold fakes. And also mostly in the US.

I have TONS of fakes to the point I dedicated my previous G1 shelf to them. Not complaining. No idea how he got there. Edit: AAAAGH! DO NOT click the image, my camera likes to take gigantic grainy pictures and it'll become a mess if you do click full size!!

in terms of weird official merch? I want to someday find one of those Mcdonalds G1 bookmarks. I also wanna find a G2 goodie bag from the UK, and when I find it, I'll pin it on my corkboard wall <3
Other than that, there's a few fakies in particular I'm in search of: Obviously a Princess Rinse-n-Spits...fakie takaras, but I hear even those are rare to come across. Genuine Buddy L fakie, because I have a fake Buddy L and the knock off gen previous with the real Buddy Ls are really appealing to me with their molded reins. Oh and FILLYS! I have too many friends outside the US who have exposed me to them and I want one of my own despite them not actually being sold in the US anymore.

Hi, just had to work on a G3 PetalBlossom with the same problem (Her hair were set into dreadlocks and looked like 4 tentacles on both the head and tail).
It took a while, but what helped me was using baby shampoo and DEFINETELY start on the ends of the hair because if you start at the body, the tangles will start collecting at the ends and you'll pull your own hair out even more than you're doing to the pony trying to get the collective frizz you just made out.

Might not be a major animation error, but I don't think pony heads are supposed to reach that far around Bubbles is an owl confirmed! (taken from the Rescue At Midnight Castle 'n friends version of the movie)
