Anyone imported from Russia??

Hi everyone,

I have met a Russian seller via the German Ebay site from who I would like to buy 2 loose ponies, she has send me her own pictures. I was just wondering if anyone ever bought from someone in Russia and if everything went well.
We only talked to each other in response to my ad in which I asked if there were people selling G2 ponies and then she contacted me. So there is no ad in which these ponies are for sale so there is no paypal protection or anything like that. Should I take the risk or not?

I've not bought ponies but I did buy a doll. It arrived in a timely manner. Everything went really smooth.

How are you paying? If you are paying by PayPal for goods-- you should still have PayPal protection

Does the person have any feedback anywhere?

I've only sold to Russia too - with no problems- but I've never bought from there. As Banditpony said, if you are paying with Paypal then you should still be protected (as long as you do not send the money as a "gift" ) even if there is no sales ad
Feedback from another site/other sales would be helpful too though. Do they have an ebay account? are they a member here or on the TP or some other site? it wouldn't hurt to ask them

Thank you for your messages, I asked her but she wasn't a member of anything so there isn't any feedback available. She is going to be a new Arena member, but that does not say anything I guess. But since I have made a big purchase from lauranthalasa I won't buy these ponies right now. Maybe she still have them in the future and otherwise I need to find them later somewhere else.

No problem - if you are in any doubt then it's always best not to go through with it.  Maybe you'll feel more comfortable buying from her in the future if she does join here and get some feedback from other members
