Yes one week can be standard, depending on which country we're talking about. To/from Scandinavia it is, for example. I don't know about Ireland though. I'm just trying to educate people here. And yes I do know no one said that exact quote, haha.

Rosse, I'm sorry, but I have to agree - if I get something from Europe in a week that's got to be some kind of record. That's not standard. Standard is more like 2-3 weeks at minimum with customs at the borders. Granted, with the reduction in mail volumes over the last five years, things should be moving a bit faster, but still, I don't even question the seller until the two week mark, personally.

Like I said, depends on what country you purchase from. There are 45 ones to chose from (I had to google that, lol). Like someone mentioned, UK to US takes longer for some reason, for example. It's just that I know some people use the "overseas shipping takes weeks/months" as an excuse to ship out late. Not kewl. The postage stamp busts them when it finally arrives though, but not everyone checks those. Disclaimer: NOT saying that's what happened here though!
