Any Flogging Molly Fans?

Talk about INSANE. I lvoe this band, have seen them at least a dozen times. My best guy friend Mike told me at 9 pm Sun night they were playing Jacksonville the NEXT DAY. We decided last minute to scramble, so yesterday, Mon he went through a ton of BS and called the venue and got them to hold two tickets at the door and we drove 3 hours to get there to see them. THEY WERE AMAZING as always, Dave King is one of the bes frontmen in the buisness, he was in top form, and the show was beyond brilliant....AMAZING actually.  They blew my MIND!
 
Best part was, I was out n the pation having a smoke after the show and Nathen Maxwell one of the best bass players ever just strolled out, I've met the guys before, he remembered, hugged me repeatedly and sa and chatted with mike and I, took a couple of pics and signed everything I could dig out of my purse, and then let me hug him repeatedly another 5 times, called me love and thanked me for being a supporter since 97, gave us some free merch/swag and then gave me a kiss on the cheek which nearly made me faint cause nathen is a cutie-pie. Will post some pics later once I uplod them and once Mike uploads his, his camera is wayyy better, NOT TO MENTION they COVERED my second fave Bob Dylan song ever, The Times They Are A Changin'!
 
 
Last minute scrmable for the show? Annoying. Three hour drive to Jacksonville? 20.00 in gas and plenty of energy drinks, Dr. Pepper, and Doritos. Seeing Flogging Molly again and hanging with Nathen? PRICELESS!
 
Did I mention I WORE MY KILT to the show! Fricking amazing.....and I still haven't been to sleep, I love post-show highs!

Hubby introduced me to their music.  I think his band covers one or two of their songs, but as they play in bars most of the time, I have yet to see them live.  It is great to hear my almost 7 yo singing along to "Drunken Lullabys".

Oh god, I remember those days. Probably drove my mom nuts, but we were hard core into it back in the day.  A big pain, but exciting and worth it^^

Mike took better pictures, once he uploads his I'll share, but for now here's a few of mine. The show was AMAZING....they always are, I never get sick of seeing them, one of only 3 bands I feel that way about. So worth the last minute scramble to get there.
 
 
Tickets were dirt cheap thank god and Mike decided to treat us both, he's such an awesome best friend.

I got to see them once on St. Patty's Day! I thought they were great fun!

They are pretty amazing live, I have seen them so many times but never tire of seeing them, they have some of the mosy beautiful lyrics ever. "Light of a Fading Star" is so hauntingly gorgeous, but they are tons of fun, Especially on St. Patty's Day I bet.
