Just curious because I mainly collect G1's, but I have 400 (give or take a few) G3's...
Which generation do you have the most of?
-
G1 by far. I have about 25-35 of G2-4 combined, but over 200 G1s! Not surprising since I mainly collect them anyway :P
-
I definitely have more g1s than anything else :)
-
G1 :) 700+ of them <3
-
I got into MLP toys with G3, so I have the most G3s! It's not an impressive collection compared to the rest of you, but it's better than my amazing collection of two G1s. :P
-
I have 40 G1s so far.
19 G3s with 2 on the way.
21 G4s.
No G2s yet, but I hope to remedy that next year.
-
G1 lover, here! I used to have a lot of g3’s, but I sold or gave a lot of them away, which I’m really disappointed in myself for doing. Also used the have quite a number of G4’s, but I threw most of them out.
-
G1 by a lot.
-
G1's - I actually don't have any G2 or G3 and only a few G4.
-
G3 currently, but only by like...three ponies haha. G1 is close behind!
-
Maybe G4s. Those blind bags got me. If not G4 than it would be G3.
-
Not sure about actual numbers off-hand, but probably G1.
-
I think I've still got more G4's, but G1 is eclipsing that number fairly quickly.
-
I only collect G1 & G3, and G3 is the majority of my collection because they're so inexpensive.
-
G4 by a lot, but followed closely by g1, then g3, then g2. It’s not that I don’t like g2. But they seem difficult to locate around here. G1,3,4 aplenty though.
-
G4, by a very wide margin.
-
In terms of regular ponies, just the normal sized, brushable hair ones, G3. If you count all kinds of pony figures, as well as plushes, G4. This is with separating G4 and G4.5, though. If you count them as one I think I'd have more G4 than G3 even with just normal ponies.
G1 is my favorite, but I don't order ponies online very often so most of my G1s, and my ponies in general, I bought locally.
-
G1! It's not even close! :P Although I don't have a count of exactly how many I have.
-
Mostly G4 because that's what got me interested in MLP, and they are the cheapest and easiest to come by!
-
I mostly have G3s and G1s. I also have a bunch of G2s, about 4 brushable G4s and 2 G3.5.
I'm really happy to find so many g1s in the wild, I might end up having more of them than G3s soon.
-
I have well over 300 G1s, 24 G3s, 3 G2s and 2 G4s. :)
-
Definitely G4.
-
I have more from G3 tho G4 is a close second. I missed the heyday of cheap G1s flooding yard sales and thrift stores so I only have a few of those.
-
Well I never count my ponies, but I'm sure that in the end I've got most G1 than the others.
-
G1 for me! At the last count it was 333 G1, 19 G2, 44 G3 and 3.5, and 50 G4 and 4.5. But I think a few more have sneaked in since then!
-
G1 by a landslide. They heavily outnumber the sum of all other generations in my collection.
-
G2 :) I've downsized my G1 collection quite a bit. G4 is the second biggest I think
-
G4 because that’s the only generation I collect.
-
G4, mainly because I began collecting in 2014 and for about a year I only really bought G4 ponies. I also don't go to flea markets and thrift stores too often so if I want to buy a pony locally it's usually Walmart or Target.
G3 is really close, though!
-
G3. Ironically at first I did not like them
-
G4 for me! ^.^
-
I think for me it is either gen one or gen three.
-
As a kid, more G3s since they were current and cheap, but I purged quite a few, and my collection will likely remain mostly G1 for the foreseeable future.
-
Probably G1's, I have over 250, not counting my doubles bin, so there's more. I've never counted my G3's and G4's so they might be up there in count too. One day I'll be unpacked and organized.
-
G3s. I bought a ton of them at thrift stores with the intent to customize but once I cleaned them up, very few qualified as bait. I have almost 500 that I'd like to rehome due to space issues.
-
Since I don’t really collect anymore I have gone from 500g1 to just 20, from 30 g2 to 0, from 30 g3 to 1 and no g4
-
G1's here. I haven't counted in awhile...
-
G3s for sure, because they were out when I started collecting (and I loved the variety). After that it's G4, and G1 in 3rd. Poor G2 collection is so small.
-
My childhood ponies still make up the majority... so G1.
-
G3. Probably because they were the most common at the car boot when I started collecting properly :P
-
The majority of my ponies are G1, but I have all generations in my collection.
Love pkw xxx
-
G1, but the be fair, my collection is tiny now. Even when I was actively collecting ponies, it was still mostly G1s that I had though. That said, there are a whole lotta G2s that I really love so if I ever get back into properly collecting ponies again, the balance may very well be tipped in their favour. ;)
-
I don't know exactly how many ponies I have since I haven't done a full collection count for almost 20 years, but it's got to be the G1s. I have *almost* all the G3s, pretty much all the G2s, and most of the G4s, but I have a stupid amount of G1s. I'm doing a major collection reorganization right now, so I hope to have actual numbers for each of my generations at some point. The last time I did count, I had over 600 G1s, and I've been busy since then!
-
G4s (because they’ve been easy to pick up locally at retail)
then G1s,
then G3s (though i’ve thinned down the herd)
and 2 G2s.
-
I predominantly collect G1s, but I have a hefty G3 herd also ^.^
-
G1 by a landslide. I actually had a lot of G3s, I started collecting them when they first came out. But we moved to a smaller place and something had to give. Since the G3s were all still MIB they took up a lot of space and I ended up selling them all. My G2 collection is tiny and I don't collect G4s.
-
There was a time my G3s ruled the roost, but now they may be tied with my G1s. I was always a G1 collector first but G3s came out when I had a steady job and not much else to pay for lol I would purchase them almost daily if there were new ones at the store.
-
I really dont know if I have more G1s or G3s. I think G1s. :lookround:
-
I have mostly g3s! Only two g1s and a handful of g4! (and one forsaken g3.5 toola roola) G3's still hold my heart but I'm hoping to get some more g1 and 4!
-
G3's because they're easier to find in the wild then G1s. Though I do want G1s to outnumber them and a few G4s tossed in for good measure.
-
I had the most G3's but G4's mainly consist of my collection now.
-
G1 one all the way!!!! I have a few G3 ponies but they are all NIB and two G4 ponies. Those G4 ponies are custom ones made to look like G1 ponies. That is the only reason why I still have them.
-
Definitely G1. I have around 440 of them. With G2, G3, and G4 I likely havevaround 500/525? I don’t exactly count the other Gend but I am curious.
-
I haven't done a formal count in quite some time, but I *think* it'd be G3s for me. I started actively collecting their first full year and very nearly have a complete collection of them now. I'd like to say G1s are next, but G4 may give them a run for their money since I can't say no to a variant and they released eleventy-billion of the core characters. I'm still in the process of getting everyone back on display after a move, but will try to get an official count soon :)
-
G1! I have around... 350~? I’d like to collect g3, too, I just don’t have the space
-
Definitely G1. It's the generation I grew up with and enjoy the most. I do have ponies of all the generations, even a few 3.5's (shudders).
After G1 it would be G4 then G3, then G2, then G3.5 in order of what I have the most of.
-
Um I don't actually know anymore! we have two G2 so I know those are the lacking party.
-
G1s for me! They are the toy of my childhood :). But I have the few odd G3s and even a G2 or two in my trade box.
-
I have about 95 G3's so they are what I have the most of since they were available so easily in stores. I have 57 G1's total with 17 of them being from my childhood. Not counting the 25th or new retro sets (which would add a few more). I would love to have more G1's since those are the ponies from my childhood.
