I've barely any babies of any generation in my collection, I'd love so much to participate. I've only completed 1 trade on here yet and with feedback combined from my new etsy, old ebay, and amazon, I really am only to 6
Just not active enough i guess. I can't wait to see what you all get for each other.

My boyfriend found me this girl at a flea market. She's my poor boot camp Skyflier

This Whizzer doesn't have a bad haircut so much as has NO hair. She was given to my little sister and I by a cousin and as far as my sister and I can remember she's never had a tail.

My sister recently bought me a Whizzer with a tail and she seems so weird looking lol

I took a photo with my camera but it's terrible. I have to show off the card though so you all can see what a super cute card rayechu made for me!

I've not misplaced any ponies but I couldn't find my case of crochet hooks and a pattern book. Drove me nuts searching for them. After 2 days I discovered them in a laundry basket with a shirt that had fallen on top. So I agree with the above suggestion that you should try to stop actively looking for her a day or so. Sometimes a random disappearance takes a random reappearance.

I decided to imitate the art on the back of the cover for an old coloring book. Give it a nice 80's feel... I think it looks kinda silly but maybe once i work in some pretty flowers and colors it will perk up. I dunno, i try not to be too hard on my art because no one else thinks it looks as bad as i do hah

Maybe everyone should have been giving you 4s instead of 5s? Get you a good score but maybe seem less threatening?

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Shipping from GA to CA

I do shipping at a small bookstore and because I ship mostly books i can use USPS Media mail. I occasionally have to ship non-book type items and I absolutely hate sending them Parcel Post. Sure UPS can be more pricey but USPS Parcel Post just plain sucks, it's slow. Also I really don't trust the post office anymore with all the Media Mail rate packages they've screwed up and the packages we've had returned in shreds.
If it's light enough hooray use 1st class if it's over a pound shove it in a priority box or envelope. The post office seems to take better care of Priority Mail items. The buyers need to just deal with it. Nothing over a pound is really going to ship for less than 5 dollars. Every year for the last few years i've been at my job the US Postal Service raised the price of postage. It all goes back to what was stated before if the bidder doesn't like the price of shipping don't bid!

Welcome to the arena. I'm sorry it's a sad reason you are joining us but you couldn't have picked a better place to find help and support in pricing and placing you babies in new homes. If you do find homes among the members here you are pretty guaranteed that they will be well looked after.

Yay my first attempt at one of these exchanges!

*What is your favorite kind of flower (if you have one): Tulips and Daffodils
*What theme(s) you would want : Well it IS spring so something sunny or rainy, floral and green. It's been every other day rainy or sunny where i live
*What Gen pony you prefer (if you care) : Actually for this round I'd specificly like G1s Whizzer, Posey, or Tic-Tac-Toe as those were my childhood ponies  ^.^  Make this a sentimental trade
*If you prefer traditional or digital art: whatever you do best in!
*If you would be willing to be a *wild card* maybe not for my first time

Pony Corral / Re: Tips on removing smell?
« on: April 11, 2012, 10:19:19 AM »
Ah I have not done enough research I see. I had no idea Cherry Treats was a scented pony in the first place. And I had glanced over the cleaning tips thread but missed getting rid of smell tips. I'll try some baking powder or kitty litter and report back. If i can even reduce the strongness of the smell that would be great because she kinda stinks up her corner.

Pony Corral / Tips on removing smell?
« on: April 11, 2012, 08:05:55 AM »
I picked up a Cherry Treats from a thrift store that was sealed in a bag with two fakies. She is in really decent condition and her hair is amazing. Only problem is she smells horrible. It's like old lady powder. Even after a bath she smells so strong i can smell her from my highest shelf in my room. Anyone know any tips to try getting rid of the awful old powdery smell?

Hi all I'm Nina. I'm 25 and I live in California. I'm a poor college student studying psychology and working part time at a bookstore doing shipping.
When we were little my sister and i received our first ponies from our cousins who had grown "too old" for them. Sadly we were given a 2 each limit and I've pined for that Dream Castle ever since. I still have Whizzer (sans a tail), faded hair Posey, and a unicorn fakie,, we had a Tic-Tac-Toe but she has been misplaced.
When G3 started I got into collecting them but being a poor college student I got out of it. I just got together with my boyfriend the beginning of this year and he thinks that my love for ponie is great and so when ever he goes to the Goodwill bins or a flea market he brings back several ponies. (Anyone need bait?) Needless to say he has helped rekindle my passion for collecting.
Then there is the best little sis ever. 2 Christmases in a row she has gone to etsy and bought me G1s. She got a Whizzer with a tail, Butterscotch, and beddy bye eyes baby Lickety Split. I was thrilled with the baby but man are those eyes creepy! This past year she got me the Big Brother Pony Steamer still with his conductor's cap (anyone have the bandana?) Again I was thrilled as i had never seen a Big Brother in person before.
My favorite generations are 1 and 3. I honestly am not a fan of the newest generation they are cute as a seperate toy but as a my little pony their design bugs me. In imitation of FiM the tiny noses with big heads and eyes and the ear shape just make me think of deer. I miss G3
I have about 20 G3s i purchased when they came out, 2 G1s from childhood, the 4 G1s from my sister and then i've picked up from thrift stores etc a Skyflier with a buzzcut, Sugersweet, a Cherry Treats that smells like old lady power (even after a soak she smells so strong I have to keep her way up high on a shelf) Forget-Me-Not and the flutter from the party pack. Then there are a bunch of G3's my boyfriend picked up second hand. Most i've kept for my collection others i'll offer to someone as bait.
I've created pony versions of my whole family as well as myself and my boyfriend. I really want to get a custom made for my boyfriend someday he'd go nuts. My love for ponies has gotten him so interest he reported one day he is practically a "brony"
Long post. I love to talk...
