I realized that I prefer to make up new colors for ponies rather than color them in "correctly." I also like to make variants to ponies like giving Pinkie Pie red and cream hair. So... am I alone in this? Do you like making up your own pony colors or do you prefer the cannon colors and try really hard to match them perfectly? Examples: Here's Cheerilee with spring green and yellow colors. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd here's Pinkie with red/cream/pink hair. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I was given some old horse toys as a kid and I've never figured out who made them. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe middle horse has the most beautiful wooden and leather saddle. It has amazing detail! It's the only thing that makes me think maybe these weren't just Breyer fakies. The light and dark colored horse both have "Hong Kong" written on their underside, but the horse with the saddle doesn't have any markings at all. I need to (hopefully) rehome them. I would love to see them go to a collector but if they're not wanted then I'll just donate them. [moving to Toy Box ~ Kiwi]

I found her at a secondhand shop for only $2.50. Her curls are frizzy, but they still look pretty nice. I actually thought she was a particularly pretty fakie since I'm not very familiar with Dream Beauties and didn't remember there were glitter ones. Anyway, I'm extra happy I snagged her now! visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I got a "well loved" Rainbow Dash at the last pony meet I went to and decided to change her to a G4 Waverunner! She was pretty grimy and I was surprised to find that the red marker left the worst stains, not the purple one. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd here she is completed, but still uncoated. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI eyeballed painting the eyeballs so they're not perfect, but I think they came out pretty well regardless. I think a few sprays of sealant will help smooth out the texture of the brush marks. I hope so, at least. Even if it doesn't, I'm pretty happy with how she came out and just wanted to share.

I'm doing a massive herd thinning right now, but some of the ponies that are definitely safe are these girls: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI call them my sewing room mascots. Does anyone else have a "mascot" or a themed collection to match certain rooms in their house? And also, am I missing any other button/sewing themed ponies?

I haven't seen anyone post about this before so I thought I'd post some pics. The nail polish company China Glaze released a bunch of MLP themed nail polish recently. I picked up some last night and the lady working at the store said they'd been super popular. I couldn't find some of the shades I was looking for. If you're looking to get some, I'd recommend going sooner rather than later. Here's China Glaze's official site promo of the colors. They're a little more accurate than my photos. On to the pictures! First up is the whole haul. One Polished Pony set comes with some nail decals and the Songbird Serenade set comes with two Best Friends rings. The black polish in the Songbird Serenade set has a beautiful blue/purple shimmer to it. The blue polish in the One Polished Pony set has a lovely, soft blue/white shimmer to it. It's more of a sky blue than my photo shows. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginNext is a close up of Where's The Party Cannon At? BTW, glitter nail polish is reeeeeeally hard to capture accurately in a photo. This polish has big, multi-color sparkles in it. Lot's of fun to look at it in the light. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd this is a close up of Let Your Twilight Sparkle. Again, glitter is hard to photograph. This color shifts from blue to purple and has subtle sparkles of blue and purple glittter in it. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginChina Glaze is carried in Sally Beauty and Ulta stores. Although Ulta is dicey about carrying the limited edition sets. I've heard China Glaze can be found in the UK too, but I can't confirm that. If you know where else you can find the brand, please post!

I'll try to answer questions ASAP.
------ G1 ------ Chief $12 Mane trim, light wear on eyes, some scuffing on symbols, brown spot on front leg and another very light one on side. Otherwise, his body is bright white and in good condition. Glory $3 Worn symbols, needs some cleaning but in good shape otherwise. Moondancer $3 Marker on back leg and mark on face. Body is slightly yellowed, symbols are worn. Hair is still good. Twilight $3 Missing tail, initials in pen on bottom of one foot, small blue pen mark on cheek, worn symbols. Windy $2 Some wear on symbol plus a small puncture on side. Bottom of tail frizzy. She was a victim of my very naughty bunny so there are some chew marks on the bottom of her feet. They're almost impossible to see when she's standing upright.
------ G3 ------ Loop-de-la $6 Small scrape by the symbol. Needs some cleaning, but looks good. Sparkleworks $3 Great other than some crinkling in the tinsel. Sunny Daze $6 Good other than some very faded pink highlighter on 1 leg. Needs a good scrubbing.
------ G4 ------ MOC Lyra Heartstrings - Royal Wedding version $15 (Please ask if you'd like pics.) MOC Trixie Lulamoon - Royal Wedding version $15 (Please ask if you'd like pics.) MIB McDonalds Happy Meal - Lily Blossom $5 (Please ask if you'd like pics.) Blind Bag - Sweetie Blue $2 (Please ask if you'd like pics.) Spike $4 (Please ask if you'd like pics.) Funko Mystery Mini - Twilight Sparkle in black $8 Comes with opened box if you'd like. (Please ask if you'd like pics.) Fluttershy, Lyra, and Pinkie Pie $4 each All of them are pretty much right out of the box. visitors can't see pics , please register or login
------ BAIT ------ Mini G2 Sunsparkle(?) x2 $1 each I think these were McDonald's toys? They have gem eyes and molded tails. Their hair is blue and pink. Very matted. I haven't attemtped to tame it. One has symbol wear and both have scuffs on their gem eyes. (Please ask if you'd like pics.) G1 Little Flitter $2 Small brown pen mark on one leg. Honestly in pretty good condition other than the fact she's missing one wing. (Please ask if you'd like pics.) Flatfoot Cottoncandy $1 In great condition, but she was a victim of my bunny and has chewed up feet and some scrapes on one side of her mouth. I was really mad at my bunny for this one. I've been really curious about the differences between the FS versions of Muffin pony so here are my pics for anyone else that's curious. A big thanks to Aurora for letting me take pictures of her SDCC Muffin pony! My pics make it seem like there is a slight color difference, but holding them side by side in real life, I couldn't see any difference in the body colors or mane colors. They had a similiar feel too. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe odd thing is that my Wonderbolts version has a slightly different, more yellow tail color. There is a pretty big size difference between the cutie marks and there is some difference in eye color and how the highlights are placed. You can also see a small difference in the eye shape. SDCC has a very stick straight eyelashes that are set wider apart compared to her Wonderbolts version.

My husband is sweet enough to draw me a picture whenever I'm feeling down. Last time it happened, he tried to draw me my favorite pony. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHe said the bottle is Calvados. I said, "I don't think that's what Applejack's family makes." He also drew it on a Halloween notepad for some unknown reason. I'd like to see what your SO/family member/friend can do! Ask them to draw a pony from memory and post it here.

Hello! I recently made my first plush toy. I found a pattern for an antique/vintage style horse toy. I thought it'd look adorable as an MLP and gave it a try. I really wanted to play up the handmade aspect of it so I used button eyes, yarn hair, and hand embroidered the cutie mark. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginSorry about all the other toys hanging around in the background. Question Time! I really enjoyed making her and I'd like to make more, but I've only got about 2 people in my life that would appreciate a plush pony. I know this is a very unusual style for MLP plush, but do you think I'd be able to sell plush like these? And if so, what kind of price range would be reasonable?
