Unicyclists?

Is anyone here a fan of unicycling?

I have wanted one for years (no joke) and I finally got around to buying one.

It is a black unicycle with a 20" tire.

I can hardly wait for it to arrive.

Care to share your experiences or thoughts on the matter?

I've seen one or two unicyclists around campus.  It looks freaking awesome, but I'm not brave enough to try it.  I never fully learned to ride a bicycle anyway.

D: I cannot even imagine being on a high wall while unicycling! I would kill myself!

I can't ride a bike so I definitely can't unicycle, but my OH's brother is really good at it. He has a mountain unicycle and cycles around on it a lot. I also go to a hula hooping class at my local circus and they do unicycling lessons there, you could always see if someone local to you does a similar thing? I think it's quite a steep learning curve but learning with other people might help you stay committed to it and mean you don't just give up after the first few goes. Which I imagine would be tempting.

My younger brother has 2. The first one he broke the first time he rode it, and now the second one he has broken too, but he had it for a couple years he was so good at it, at a xmas party he was showing off an jumping it off the retaining wall! And it broke, lucky it didnt break him, it is a great laugh thats for sure!
