Thought I would start a new thread to discuss her here, no pictures surfaced yet personally I cannot wait to see her I know that flowing mane is going to look so epic! I hope the princesses are larger than the standard funko vinyls, what do you guys think?! Also interesting note the called her Bon Bon on the website but not the box? Maybe an exclusive one with Bon Bon's name on the box, and carrying Lyras bag like in the show :P Just speculating hey they did say they wanted more different variants! I have seriously been on pins and needles since...an hour ago when I found that product on the TRU site lol. I'm SO excited to see what Celestia will look like. It would be awesome if she had glitter in her hair, or if her hair was translucent! And, even more than this, I wonder if a Celestia vinyl means we will get a Luna and Twilight vinyl soon.
As for Sweetie "Bon Bon" Drops, I wonder why they did that, as well. Maybe they will have different names for different boxes? That would be kind of fun! You could have whatever name you wanted that way :D
Anyway, come on TRU! Show us pics already, haha. XD

I know hot topic has alluded to "bigger" things in the works as far as the vinyls go. I really hope that if there actually are going to be Princess vinyls that the are taller than the regular ponies.

Bon Bon gets used for half the merch lines, Sweetie Drops for the other half. Using both names for the same product doesn't really surprise me at this point.

Omg I know and could you imagine Luna's mane.. if it was translucent with glitter OMG I would build an army lol jk. I'm sure we will see the other princesses later on too, 100% we will see Twilight because they confirmed the mane 6 will come in time, I like that they are making us wait! I hope they release one of the mane 6 every few waves and space them out to build suspense! :) And the Bon Bon on the box idea would be amazing!

The mods just changed her name to that because it causes a lot of drama and they enjoy having fun and having others have fun over a heated topic, and the Grumpy Cat picture is supposed to be humorous. I'm sorry you don't like it but her real name causes so much headache between members on here :(
Also, I would adore it if they made Celestia, she is such a pretty pony and Funko makes some wonderful sculpts! I know they'll do her justice!

From what I'm guessing, they probably surprise you with one. That's just my guess... I could be totally wrong. I'm going to order one if they're not sold out today. We shall see! :D. How awesome would it be to get 6 ponies for $15?? Lol!

I ordered one set as well, I called to ask and she says it's all six ponies, I said they are usually $14.99 a piece and she said they may be mini versions or something, which I'm pretty positive don't exist and since we already have seen Spitfire and Bon Bon, I'm almost positive that's what these are! She searched they database for a photo, which she didn't find yet, she said she should be receiving one really soon, they usually get the photo up right away. I took the gamble and ordered one set, why not hey it would be sick if I got 6 ponies for $14.99!!

An "assortment" is a common way to sell a lot of items.
A store does not order 2 Sweetie, 2 Spitfire and 2 Celestia. They order 1 assortment and that assortment comes with the split out. Check out stores like bigbadtoystore to see how "assortments" are sold. MLP has been like this since it was first releases and so are most other similar toy lines. For the price you will get one of the items listed.
I will admit to thinking it odd if Celestia is going to be a larger, grander release I would not expect her to be part of an assortment and I would not expect her to be only $15.

That's what I was guessing, but the women said it is for all 6 ponies, since that's what is listed, she could be wrong of course. What I'm thinking is they don't have an image yet so they made a mistake in the listing because they don't know what the ponies are yet. I'm thinking that they told them standard price is $14.99 and they thought it was for all of them accidentally, which they will fix, and also they put Celestia at a lower price because they thought she would be the same size, but once they get more info it will change!
Side note: Who else is really enjoying the collecting experience for the Funko ponies, I think it's so much fun!

But the listing is no different from how other ponies are listed when they are in assortments so I am not sure why the customer advisor would be confused. The very word "assortment" is enough for a retailer to know that its a listing for a product which has multiple single options.

OK I just spoke with customer service, and he said yes they have to honor it if the description says it. they are liable for it. SO i am going to print the page and put this ref number he gave down where he told me if they do not honor the description that I can call back and he will make it right.

I am on with customer service chat as well and this is what she said It looks like you ordered 1 set of Exclusive My Little Pony Vinyl Figures. It shows me the set when I look at it so I think it is safe to assume that you will get all 6.

Regarding the Celestia Funko -- it does rather seem like Funko is just pushing out all kinds of ponies at the same time, doesn't it? I haven't even found one in any store I've visited yet... so I'm having trouble keeping up! This is what I get for living in a small town that doesn't even have a Target, much less a TRU or Hot Topic.

I just left there and there is no princess celestia and what they did for the description they gave me 2 funkos which was spitfire and sweetie drops for 7.99 so I got 2 for the price of one.
But, I will be emailing them telling them how awesome that store was for doing that but they still should honor it and give me 2 more. But, I am completely happy with what I got I am so excited!!!

Ok Chaosette, we need to work out a deal with our US Pony friends that are going directly into the stores to pick them up, that's the only way it seems like their orders are getting honored, because they are showing them what it says on the site and they have to honor that when you place an order.

Please don't order expecting to get 6 ponies. Take a risk if you wish but be prepared that you may only get one as that is what the listing is for. As mentioned previously, its common for items to be listed in assortments - TRU have plenty on their site. And although the word assortment is used, you only get one item.

I hope they make a season 1 and 2 luna when they make her, as a variation, so we could have both. S2 luna is cool and all, but I have a soft spot for S1 luna.

So I just called customer service, and she said yes it includes all 6 characters for sure.
I asked her about the word assortment, I asked her about the lack of picture. She said she was going to submit a request for a photo, and that it should be updated soon. I asked if I would have to pay separate shipping for the characters and she said no. They might have to come from different facilities in different boxes but I would get all 6 and only be paying the one shipping fee.
I have two orders placed separately. I also have screenshots of the order page and description page.
So that was my experience... Hopefully all six show up! Good luck!

I think that would be cool as well, but it would require a all new hair mold so 'm not sure if they will, I would rather have S2 because she looks better, and we have never had a release of her, with artwork of her on a package. S1 Luna looks that way because she was basically reborn and had to have her magic restored to look how she does now.

... should be for just one pony ... if you look at the others, like dr. whooves, it breaks down their assortments too ... they made an error in listing the ponies and they should be listed individually ... but its really just another wave of the funko pop figures that they haven't listed separately from their wave assortment yet ... so stores that have listed as 'in stock' will have t he funkos, but not necessarily THOSE funkos, so it could be bubbles, whooves, fluttershy, rainbowdash, bon bon, and/or spitfire in any mixture really ... and with this random assortment (smaller than hot topics' cases) i don't know if we can expect to see any of the chases ... i know whooves still has the random 50/50 chance at red vs green tie though ...

OK, I'm home now and can give the details I was told.
I had stopped by the pony aisle on the way to the pick-up spot and saw two Spitfires on the shelf. When my order was brought out it was two Sweetie Drops. I mentioned that there had been three different ponies listed on the order page and the woman who brought out my ponies told me the SKU number from the online order corresponded only to Sweetie Drops and none of the others that they had in stock, but I could take the other I wanted to the service desk and have them switch it. (She also mentioned that those were the only two Sweetie Drops in stock.) At the service desk the guy doing the exchange couldn't get Spitfire to scan and, after not finding anything about her in the computer decided it was a case where the number Toys R Us uses is the same for the different ponies even though they have different UPC codes - I had mentioned them being listed online together. So, he just went ahead and swapped them for me.
That's pretty much what I was expecting to happen with maybe a slight chance that there really would be a Celestia. I had hoped they would just give me the two different ponies to start with though. I wanted both Sweetie Drops and Spitfire anyway which is why I took the chance. I never expected to get six ponies so I didn't bother printing the description - I would have expected it to be a long drawn out argument even with the description in hand.
Overall, I'm pleased to have gotten them and don't mind that it wasn't six in each order. :D

I have an email from a TRU representative saying the listing is for al 6 ponies...so when I get my order tomorrow, I'll let you all know how that goes. I doubt they'll be a Celestia, but maybe they'll give me 3 of each of the other two and I can trade in for Celestia later?

I went to TRU yesterday and was told that the barcode was definitely for just one pony (I got sweetie drops). After asking, they almost didn't give her to me because when they scanned her, they saw that she shouldn't even really be out on the shelves yet! Good luck everyone.

I think that regardless of whether or not the barcode is for one (which we all know it is), the fact is the way that it's advertised allows the consumer to take advantage of the wording, hence why others have walked out with 2, or in the case of chaosette, she spoke with someone on the phone confirming tha it's for 6 because that's what the listing states and then she received that exact confirmation in writing from a TRU rep.
Because of their mistake, they are required to honor their advertisement or online listing. If you look at any of the other listings for funko's they are all worded correctly, it doesn't state assortment, or 1 or 2 of each.
This is the kind of error that savvy shoppers are always on the lookout for.
*I don't work in retail, I'm going based on my past experience in these situations and what most store policies are*
I'm sure they'll be correcting it soon enough though.

I think it's best to contact customer service and have it writing from them that you are getting exactly what it states, just to be on the safe side like chaosette did. It's hard to put up a fuss and argue that you should receive something when you don't have it in writing.

That is correct. If they were not meaning it to be six ponies, then the description should not say includes 6 ponies. I understand that is probably a mistake, but they can be held liable for it. They are selling a listing that states very clearly six ponies. If they do not send all six, that is a bait and switch which is illegal and can be reported to the Fed or worse a class action lawsuit.
Truthfully I am still waiting to see if they will actually fill the orders or not. They are not available in store near me and I have to have it shipped. But, I too got customer service verification with proof of conversation just in case.

This is so odd- I ordered some as well but am not overly optimistic. Also- I don't really want them to lose money over the Funko ponies, or they won't carry more in the future. TRU needs to get it together.
Even if the orders don't work out- it sure looks like Celestia and Twilight will be in the next release. I think we won't see them for a while though since they don't even have the prototypes done yet.
It would be so cool if they did Celestia with a white body and translucent glittery mane... I've been wanting a custom like that and this would definitely save me some work!

I impulsivly ordered... I used the code EXTRA15 which is a 15% off coupon, for those who are having trouble finding that darned promo code box you have to go to "proceed to checkout" and on the payment page the promo code box is there-you can still pay via paypal. =)

Man I was at TRU and I was taken back that they even HAD Funkos at mine! They only had solid Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Dr. Whooves, but it's the first time I've seen any Funkos at TRU. I do hope mine gets those new ones, I do LOVE the Funko ponies... :biggrin:

It also does not include Dr. Whooves. :P As I recall, the description for Fluttershy said the same thing when it first went up. That one has been changed to be accurate now, but there's still a question posted on her page asking if Twilight would have wings or not.
I'm wondering if these really are Toys R Us exclusives or if it's like Hot Topic and they are only exclusive for a limited time before other retailers can pick them up.
Edit: I was just looking at the details on the Celestia listing and it gives the UPC as 830395035109. Sweetie Drops's UPC is 830395034645 and Spitfire's is 830395034638 so I wonder how they matched up Sweetie Drops to the orders placed. I also find it interesting the the other Funko Vinyls all have the same "R"Web # and Manufactuer # while the ones on the Celestia listing are different. I wonder if Sweetie Drops and Spitfire will eventually have their own listings that match Celestia's numbers.

When they ship, you should be able to see how much the package being sent to you weighs. That'll give you a clue as to how many were included...the weight description says 0.6 pounds which doesn't sound like 6 ponies...

Interesting thought, I'd like to see what happens either way. If I get a refund it happens, but if I get six ponies, I'll be pretty dang happy. It's going to be interesting. I'd be happy even if I just get the one, because I planned to buy them anyway.
As of right now, my order says "Item(s) located in stock", which according to their glossary means, "The item(s) that you selected and submitted with your order during checkout are available, and have been located in our warehouse." I'm assuming this means they will ship tomorrow.

I'm thinking that perhaps they meant to list a case assortment, and accidentally put the price for one item.
At the Wal-Mart I work at, if we screw up a price or description like that, we have to see the person *one* of the item, and then need to change the signage. I'm surprised the description hasn't been changed yet, quite honestly. I really do hope they catch it sooner or later though, because even though I did order a set....it's been a few days now hasn't it? An error like that happens, but usually it's fixed right away.

Phone and email representatives can only go by the wording of the listing. And the listing is wrong, so the info they are giving is wrong. Some people may try to take advantage of and successfully punish TRU for their wording mistake, but the original intent was surely for one pony, not six. Anyone who can actually see the product in person (the phone and email reps cannot) would know that.

Just got the news from my Funko friend you can take my word for it or choose not to believe me. This is the truth. She said Celestia and Luna will for sure be made and are going to be scaled up, but she said they are eventually going to be made, meaning Celestia does not yet exist! She also said its not one of the next four ponies.

Yeah, I would have been completely blown away if they brought out 6 ponies from the back for me. I never expected that to actually happen. It's kind of nice that the listing allowed some of us to get them a little earlier though.

There are people who were able to purchase 2 for the price of 1 yesterday due to the online listing when they picked up in store.

I placed my order, and then afterwards emailed a representative to please confirm that yes, I am getting six ponies, yes they are bon bon spitfire and Celestia, and no I will not have to pay anything extra.
Frankly, if two separate people can confirm that for me, and one is willing to do it on paper, either this is a really big screwup or its actually legit. They haven't taken down the listing yet and many, many of us have called and asked and emailed and asked. They're aware, and they've had many of the same inquiry.
I went about this as honestly as I could, calling before, and then emailing afterward.
I am not ashamed to admit that I WILL be disappointed if I don't receive the six ponies I ordered. Yes, we all know its a crazy deal. Yes, we know its likely a mistake. I don't mind waiting until Celestia is released to receive my ponies. I won't throw a huge stink if I don't get them, but I will be calling the number and replying to the email I was sent, "in case of any further inquiries" if my order gets cancelled or shows up wrong.

I guess I do not feel bad when I called to make sure and they confirmed it and told me that they would fix any problem with it....

I imagine it would cost twice as much because she'd be much larger and use more materials, unless they give her a really spindly neck, torso, and legs, but I doubt they'd put out junk like that(the paint apps excluded).

It really is so odd that the TRU website is referring to a Funko Twilight and Funko Celestia- when they haven't even been created as prototypes yet. Maybe they made some kind of contract with Funko to get these ponies as exclusives in the future?
Really makes me wonder who wrote the entry for that listing- and where they got their information. Because they have some of the info right- which makes it likely that they are getting the info from SOMEWHERE.

The manager looked right at me asking are you expecting to get 6 ponies? They didn't even have a Celestia. So, I am curious on what you guys get when they are shipped.

yeah not sure either where to go from there ,at least is nice to have them faster ,and I think is nice we are getting them shipped and not having to drive, specially in my city, the closest store showing stock was 40 miles away , at least TRU has a free shipping option ,not like Hot topic ,is always 4.99 to ship no matter how much you spend with them,

Completely agree I didn't make a big stink about it at the store I was grateful on getting Sweetie Drops and Spitfire so I just left it at that since that manager was only going to do that for me. But, I am going to call customer service tonight just because if there is really celestia I would like to get her I don't need 2 of each or anything like that just would like 1 of each for my collection.

Absolutely. I would've completely understood if when I called, they told me it was a wording mistake and that I'd only get one. Or if when I emailed (which gives them boundless time to research, contact higher ups, etc.) they responded saying it was a mistake and I'd only be receiving one.

I was placing a order anyway so I added that in as well. I can't imagine I will get all 6, but if I only get one I'm not going to have a issue with it since its a bit odd they would sell a full box of a set of two each for the price of one funko. Expecially since celestia hasn't even been released or from the sounds of it made.
I had a 15% off coupon and needed something to bump me over that $79 shipping, so either way it's win win for me, since I got one 15% off and had planned to buy them anyway.

I guess I feel then that they should not have fraudulently led people on. Funny thing about it is the guy I talked to when asked if it is really 6 ponies for that price said "we run promotional sales all the time". Like I said, they have had multiple people ask. It is their fault and they should have been more proactive in making sure their sales pages are correct. If I did this on eBay I would have been liable for my listing.

I still believe that they are liable for this. It's false advertising. I don't see it as taking advantage of anything, there are people who are always on the lookout for errors like this so they can score amazing deals.
It's my understanding that the people who placed orders online and are having them shipped may be more protected by the fact that they have it in writing that they were supposed to receive x amount of ponies. Especially the people who have emails from TRU stating that it's for 6, and it's been looked into.
If TRU didn't think they were liable for something, then some people wouldn't be walking out of the store with 2 ponies for the price of one.
I can understand someone not wanting to stand there in the store and have it out with a manager, but I believe if someone did do that, the store would have to follow through on it, especially if they walked in with emails confirming it etc.
Enough people have seen it, called in about it and emailed about it that it should've been corrected by now if it was wrong, but it's still up and the listing hasn't changed.
I'm still holding out for 6 ponies, or at the very least 1 of each.
I'm not stealing, I agree that if this were ebay, the seller would be liable for it, regardless of whether or not it was an error.

well got a shipping confirmation for the order. I can already tell it is going to be one pony per order by the weight. SO there ya go, I am planning on calling back to CS with my ref# they gave me once the ponies get here.

As others have said, I'm not expecting to get all six, but hey, it's not my fault it was incorrectly listed. At this point if it was a mistake, you would think the number of phone calls and emails would have tipped them off to it by now. Most websites don't hesitate to fix things, because of situations like this. That's a lot of merchandise basically being given away, and I'm wondering why anyone hasn't noticed by now...

Yes- I guess with an email from customer service (who is reading it the same way we are) you might be able to insist on 6 if you throw a fit- (although they could also just refund your purchase price)- But here's the problem- don't we all KNOW it is a mistake in the listing? I mean really- 6 Funko ponies for essentially $2.49 each? The packaging probably cost more than that!
Could you really look a store employee in the face and tell them that you reasonably understood and relied on the listing to be selling 6 ponies for $14.99? I would feel like I were trying to steal something. I'd be happy with just the ponies.

Yeah, I was happy just to get my ponies early! (and with the online discount) I brought up the fact that I thought there was more than one pony in the listing, and the manager was like .. seriously? Nope, just one.
If I had been a jerk about it, they could have easily refunded my order instead, just to get rid of me. There was already a bit of weirdness with neither of the ponys scanning correctly, and the manager even said they shouldn't be sold yet. It's only because they were an online order I was able to leave the store with them.

Eh im happy with any at all although if they arnt sending people the 6, they need to change their description! It does seem too good to be true, but its something fun to hope for!!! I might ask customer service myself just to see what they say. At least I know getting at least one funko pony I dont have! :)

Based on what everyone else, and the people at Funko have stated, it sounds like Celestia has not even had a prototype made yet. This is a weird error on their part, but I'm assuming Celestia and Twilight will both make an appearance at Toys R Us when they are made, based on these listings.

You're welcome! Yeah, I feel the same way. I basically told myself that I'd place an order because I want the figures either way, so if it ends up being just one figure, I'd be rather happy regardless.

I am pretty sure tehy are only shipping one pony per order at this time. I ordered 2 and the shipping weight is 1 lbs 6 oz. The Funko ponies weigh about 12 oz each. My shipping was confirmed and is being shipped. Should recieve them tomorrow. So we will go from there.

I really can't believe this thread. I keep coming back to it thinking and hoping the 6 for 1 entitlement has dropped. We as collectors know more about MLP than Hasbro does, so it is not surprising that a retailer makes an error in the listing we realize it first. No other Funko ponies have been found for purchase at less than $14.99. The product description says exclusive figures, which is true, there are more than one and we have only found them at TRU. These figures, as a lot of other toys do, come in an assortment. The product title did not say exclusive figure assortment. The product dimensions are listed as well as the weight and they correspond to one figure. I do not believe TRU is attempting to commit fraud which means to cause intentional harm to you all but rather an exploitation of a listing that fails to have the common sense disclaimer: 1 pony per purchase, no choice of assortment with order. If you all look at your receipt it says "one color" which again points to a single pony.
Now that said, I have worked in customer service for a long time, and customers typically get what they are after, realistic or not. So am I surprised people are coming out of stores with 2 for 1? No. Do I feel shame to be witnessing it? Yes.

I'm not going to feel guilty if they send me 6, but I'm not going to complain if they only send me one either. I was planning on buying both of these funkos, had a 15% off coupon and needed to get to $79 for free shipping.
To me toys r us has been alerted to the problem on several occasions, not only by people calling to ask if its real, but those calling to let them know that it has been listed wrong and yet the listing is still there.
What I expect them to do when people do start calling to complain, they will offer a refund if you return the item and a apology. Or you can keep your item. Then they will cancel any unshipped orders of it. They can't full fill the ordes fully anyway because well celestia doesn't exist yet. From the looks of it, each box has 3 of each sweetie drops and spitfire.

TRU customer service responded to my email from yesterday, I asked if the order was actually for 1 pony or 6. They said it was an assortment of 6 ponies: 2 bon bon, 2 spitfire, 2 celestias, contact customer aervice for more assistance blah blah bleh pretty much what everyone else's feedback is who asked. I doubt I will get 6 ponies though.
I will probably get just one pony but I am more than happy with recieving only one!!!! It hasnt shipped yet but im excited because I have a good feeling I will get Bon Bon!!!! x3 I would really love to know if they will be making glitters of these two new ponies!!

I agree, I don't like how this thread is turning into a fight or pointing fingers at people and telling them to feel guilty. I refuse to feel guilty about making a company honor its own description of a product.
If they had say, a listing for a figure with brushable hair listed, and you recieved something with molded hair, everyone here would be on the phone raving mad. Because the description was wrong and it is the company's job to rectify it. I want what i was told I was paying for, there's nothing wrong with that.
I am not about to cry any tears for TRU any day soon either, they are so grossly overpriced on everything that it's really kind of shameful.

Like I said earlier, Im not judging anyone choosing not to order. But I think it's rude and nasty to say those of us who did are going to pony hell, and that you're ashamed of us.
Somebody saw what might be a great deal, posted it, and some of us took a chance. Nobodies screaming for their 6 ponies like belligerent children; I've asked politely twice if that is actually what the listing is for. That's all the contact I've had with toys r us so far.
More than anything, I want Celestia. One, single, Celestia. Yes, I know I frequent the forum and we haven't seen a prototype. That doesn't mean she doesn't exist. I inquired about what ponies I would be receiving. I wouldn't have ordered if Celestia wasn't included, I would've waited patiently for them to come to Canada like I do with eeeeverything else.
Is silly to say that we as collectors know the product better than toys r us. They make their profit off this stuff. Nothing is more important than knowing their product and their audience.
And even if some people do know it better, that doesn't mean that toys r us can advertise something with a confusing description and then provide clarification twice, once on paper, to more than one person that yes, the listing says what we thought it did.
I've never ordered from an assortment before. I've never ordered a pony online before (other than here on the arena). So I didn't know an assortment of 2 Bon Bon, 2 spitfire and 2 Celestia means You Only Get One of One of these ponies.
If I ordered an assortment of 2 cherry, 2 blueberry and 2 lime lollipops, I'd expect six lollipops. That's what "an assortment of" means. It means all of them.
If I ordered "one of the following, selected at random : spitfire, Bon Bon, or Celestia" I would've expected one pony. One random pony, like many of you are saying I should receive. Toys r us had many opportunities on the phone and through email to clarify this with me.
Hot topic has worded their funkos VERY specifically for a long time now to avoid this problem with their sparkly chase variants.
One person here was even told "we run promotional sales all the time."
Nobody was getting angry when the Funko chase bubbles and RD came out early for sdcc. Nobody was shaming and pointing fingers and being nasty about that deal, even though not only did they get them early they got them cheaper. Nobody was saying arena members should be ashamed of taking advantage of amazons mistake.
But I digress.
If you want to be nasty about the situation, go make your own thread. There's a lot of us here excited to get our ponies (however many we do get) and trying to keep each other updated and there's no need for people to come charging in here and attacking. The orders are placed, what's done is done, and some of us have said we want to fight a bit to get what we were told multiple times we would get. I for one, don't want to hear any more judgement about it.

Ditto on Celestia; she's pretty much the only one I've got my heart set on. I would've been totally fine had the CS rep replied to my inquiry with "Oh gosh, sorry, we must have misworded that" or something. I've honestly assumed it was a preorder special, since Celestia may not be out for a while.

I ordered it with fingers crossed for all 6, but really...I only need 1 of each. I'd be perfectly happy with that. I got my Pinkie and Lyra for $16 altogether because of a HT coupon code, so if I get Bon Bon and Spitfire for $15 and change together, its basically the same thing.

Although it has my name any info on the package and on the invoice inside the package, when I saw the size of the box I was thinking awesome got all my ponies.. but no. She said it was an error and might have gotten mixed up with someone elses order, and I will be receiving mine soon, I have to wait 24-48 hours for a call. She sent it to corporate.

That is definitely not right. Based on the listing, even if we aren't getting the amazing six ponies deal, we should AT LEAST be getting one of the ones named in the listing, and not one from a completely different listing! I wouldn't have complained about getting only one, but if I get the WRONG pony, they can bet I'll be complaining.

For one I think that Funko told TRU they are getting exclusive figures, so TRU thought that all of the ponies they got are exclusives for one, I bet they told them they will be getting Bon Bon and Spitfire first as exclusives and later Celestia and Twilight, so I bet whoever wrote those descriptions must have been drinking on the job or something! My guess is yes Twi and Tia will come out eventually and probably will be TRU exclusives, but they aren't even made yet. Also I think the listing is meant for what is listed above and not what is actually in the description now I think you get ONE pony out of the random boxes they get 1 Fluttershy, 2 Dr, 2 Spitfire, 3 Bon Bon, and 2 Ditzy, and 2 Rainbow. Which they need to update, because they are responsible for the mistake MANY of us ordered for three reasons 1 because we thought we were getting 6 ponies, 2 because we wanted Bon Bon or Spitfire, and Lastly many just for a CELESTIA! Which sadly I don't even think she is in production really yet, they have confirmed she will come eventually but her mold hasn't even been created yet. So what now, does TRU owe you six ponies, if you got conformations several times, aren't they liable?

yes it is what it shows for mine as well, 3 ponies 1.8 lbs , i just weight 3 and it is 2.2 lbs and that is with no packaging , can't wait to see what is inside this shipment !

I can't help but imagine Drama Pony sitting at a desk as a new TRU employee. Fired from being a mover due to the piano dropping incident, fired from being a letter carrier for losing the mail, and now trying her best at TRU. Very true about the confirmations, though I can't help but wonder if all the customer service reps just checked the listings and assumed whoever wrote it couldn't be that wrong when they posted it. Relying on coworkers can be dangerous! XD
Exactly how "liable" they are depends on the company (and the specific individuals you may talk to). I'm not sure where TRU falls on the spectrum, but very customer service-oriented companies will go quite far to fix any issues with at least some evidence that something went wrong (like if you called to confirm).
If a company is having a hard time meeting its bottom line (including if the issue is too big/costly/widespread to fix), or doesn't care, or the person you talk to doesn't want to deal with you (bad day/also doesn't care/etc), you may just get an apology and informed that the listing was fixed. Just depends, I guess. :shrug:
The best advice I can give is that if anyone calls to try and get it straightened out (in whatever way that might be), try to be very polite! You don't have to be a pushover at all, but reps will go farther for you if you show a little kindness and patience. If you get stuck with someone who doesn't seem to be particularly helpful, you can always call back at a different time and try for someone more willing to work with you. :)
I'm also expecting no Celestias from this, but a little part of me secretly hopes someone will get one on accident because I want to seee~

I can kind of relate to this little mishap when I ordered my Rainbow Dash 3D print through Shapeways, but oops! They sent me Lyra Heartstrings instead! I took a picture of my Lyra and emailed them. The manager of Shapeways emailed me back and apologized for the mess up. They sent me the correct pony for free. Not exactly like this situation, but, it's similar. Mess ups happen. I'm just really disappointed, I thought we were finally gonna see what the alicorn mold looks like! :(

Mine shipped first class today via USPS, so I'm only expecting one. Which I'm fine with as I bought this as a gamble, but if I get anyone other then spitfire or Bon Bon (sweetie drops). I will be calling to get permission to return it either via store or mailing it back. It's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow but I'm out of town so I won't get my package until Monday.
I agree with the above, getting angry with people who didn't actually cause the mess up won't do any good. For those who have been yelled at on the phone by customers (and I work at a vet hospita and have had clients call up screaming at me for the strangest thingsl), they are much less likely to help you the best they can. Plus it gives the pony community a bad name.

I can't imagine anyone here yelling at TRU reps because their order is incorrect, well I would hope they wouldn't. Everyone knows that it's better to approach the situation calmly and explain your side as opposed to calling and screaming or storming in and causing a scene lol. Doing either of the last 2 things probably won't get you anything but a refund and no ponies :(

SHe said that there was no picture so she couldn't be sure- and she did a "google search" and couldn't find any pictures of the ponies- so she assumed they were mini figures.
The customer service people have no idea.
The reason I don't like the thought of people taking advantage of the mistake probably has to do with the fairness aspect of it- and my legal background which I can't shake. It's not an enforceable contract if you know there is a mistake in the listing and are trying to take advantage of that...

They told me that they're going to reship my order and it will have the correct ones this time...ideally that will happen. If I get more of the wrong one I'm going to be quite upset. :cry: I don't care about getting 6, what I care about is getting at least one of the ones in the listing!!

So far no one has received a spit fire or Bon Bon. You would think they would of sent you one of the ponies on the listing, not some random pony not even in the description.
Toys r us really can't get their ducks in a row. Between spit fire and bon bons early release, then them not being able to sell them. Then this, and them being told hello this is wrong, yet still promising them to people. Ehh hopefully toys r us will exchange mine for Bon Bon or spitfire.

I mentioned this in a different thread, but I found both Sweetie and Spirfire at a local TRU, and they couldn't sell them to me because they have a street date of Sepetember 2nd, so it's possible everyone's orders will be borked until then.

UPS Made it to my doorsteps and I got 7 ponies, 3 Sweetie Drops and 4 Spitfire :)
they are not perfect and their finish is rough as expected from Funko I guess :)

That's awesome :) It's great that they have pulled down the listing but they are still honoring those who placed orders that were under the impression of receiving 6.

They also said they would ship out new ones for me yesterday, they started the reshipment process, and the rep took the names and UPCs of the ones I wanted, to make sure they got it right this time. They are VERY helpful, and have great customer service. I am glad that they finally realized the mistake and took down the listing, but they're being very generous by actually fulfilling everybody's orders. I suppose they have to because of liability, but I figured they wouldn't anyway. I'll let you guys know how it goes. =)

I had to be on the phone for 2 hours yesterday. THe first person I spoke with agreed that I should have had more ponies and correct ones, and asked her manager about it who also told me the same thing, then they sent me to their elevated customer service because the first line CS did not know what to do to fix the problem, so the second line CS called around to store who were supposed to have them in stock to find out the correct box number but then the stores did not have them. So she said she would resend the order through to ship me another box....so I am half suspecting another single....but I got her name and ID number to talk with her again if it is wrong....

Confirmed with customer service this evening that a corrected order is on it's way! I should expect the package to arrive in 7-14 days.
I have no email or tracking number, but that's okay. I have a case number TRU is able to reference.

Sorry to hear that - that's super frustrating.
This really is the craziest thing I've seen in regard to the pony retail scene. I feel bad for the in-store employees. It's easier for the employees in customer service to view what's going on since they have the computers right there. The in-store employees have to scurry around a gigantic store, have almost no info, and are doing their best to make it work.

I'm so sorry to those who got no ponies :cry: I feel lucky that I even got one Sweetie Drops at all.
This is just one major screwup by whoever listed this. Yes, the package weight was correct for one pony, but the listing is still very misleading, and even though we know Funko ponies don't cost the same as a blind bag, we were still mislead to believe that we should be entitled to 6 for the price of one, which wasn't very fair of them to list that. I hope that in the future, they are a little more clear with their descriptions!

I saw Spitfire and Sweetie Drops at TRU today. I had been hoping to find Lyra, but I don't know if she's even out yet. I picked up a Sweetie Drops. I really really wanted to like Spitfire, but her eyes just make her look totally stoned, and I couldn't get past that :( Plus 3 of the 4 they had there had absolutely terrible paint and one had a huge gap between her head and her body.

So, after ascertaining the order was in fact for six (since the listing is down), we decided that ordering the four separately would be the best way to proceed. Those were the two available on the site, so I agreed to substitute. We had to do it in two orders, since they're a hot item, and they did have to charge me shipping, but the rep assured me it'd be refunded. In the end, I did get my six. :D Order emails say so. Now just to wait on the shipments, and my refund.

If the rep had told me that the listing was an error, I would have thanked her for her time and dropped it there. Instead, she quite happily did the order--the only trouble was from the ordering system. She also reiterated several times that they did want to fulfill the order for six. :)

Despite being told I was getting 15 in the mail on the phone Friday, a re-shipment was ordered for 3 :lol: Then, when it was sent to be filled, it came back that they were all out of stock. Womp womp. No more ponies for me!
However, I got Dr. Whooves, Dizty Doo, and Rainbow Dash for free. They're crediting back my PayPal account.
Kinda bummed that I missed out on Bon Bon & Spitfire, but now I have the fun of hunting them down in-store :)

Same. Both people I've talked to have been super nice, even when the computer system wasn't acting right and they were obviously frustrated. It says really awesome things about a company when their customer service is this good.

I ordered 7 sets and received 7 ponies, they are sending me 2 more, they are on their way to get here until next friday
as i was emailing back to TRU about the reshipment and saying there were maybe just 1 or 2 more on the package on the way , they came back saying there was no more ponies, and there was no option for them than just reimbursed the rest of the order :(
I'm waiting to get back to them on that until I get the box and it is indeed just 2 ponies, it could be just 1 more .

I got 4 Spitfire and 3 BonBon figures, I think i have 1 or 2 more coming ,package weights 1.6 lb ...:)

I am not upset about not getting 6 of them per order. Out of what I got, I was able to help out a few fellow ponies overseas in getting theirs! And I was not upset about Fluttershy and the one Bubble pony because those will be X-mas gifts for my girls!
i also helped a couple of member here from overseas getting the extra ones from me :)!

Just got a call from TRU Corporate today confirming that they will be mailing me a gift card for 5/6 of what I spent since the store charged me full price but would only let me purchase 1/6 of what was advertised. :lol:

This thread reminded me earlier to check the status of my shipping refund. Apparently, the girl who answered last time I called hadn't even put a request in! :| So I got that straightened out and should have money in 3-5 business days, but still, way unprofessional.

I never called , I just contacted them by email, 3 different people answered them .they were all nice :)
