Sad with Ebay purchase
« on: May 10, 2012, 12:06:08 PM »
 :(
I'm more sad than frustrated. I just dropped $330 on a pony lot with some nice rares ponies in it I intended to keep. The description and photos made them out to be in excellent condition with very light wear, clean and fresh.

What I got were all ponies with permanent marks, mold growing out of them, tiny hair cuts here and there, one was even missing a gem eye. The seller said they'd whipped them down, but I can't see how they missed all the pen marks?

I know it's a downside of buying lots on Ebay, but the seller made it out as if they were familiar with the ponies, even listed their names. I'm going to return it, but I'm sad.

Just needed to vent!

That really sucks when that happens. I've had that happen to me before, probably not to your extent but it's always disappointing when it happens.

Unfortunately this is the type of thing some people try to get away with on eBay. Make sure you get tracking when you return the package and make a PayPal claim to make sure you get your money back!

I'm sorry this happened to you.  It's always disappointing when the ponies are less than par on what we were expecting.

I make it a rule of thumb on large lots like that to always ask plenty of questions.  No matter what, everyone has a different opinion on what excellent condition is.

I am glad to hear your seller is itleast willing to work with you though and return them.

Yea you know..you can ask a question...but I am not getting a truthful answer 90% of the time. I am so sorry CA..that is just awful.  Thats a lot of money to spend to end up with that kind of damage.  I am glad you are returning it.  Thats just not right.  They just didn't want to take the time to really describe their stuff right.  I am sure they didn't miss the damage.  They probably photographed them in such a way that it didn't show...but there is always that slim chance they can't see well LOL..I doubt it.

*hugs*   oh my goodness no wonder you are disappointed! its not like it was a cheap or common lot  either! :( I'm glad to hear that you are returning them and getting a refund.
Hopefully the seller will learn something from this and relist them with the flaws described and a price to reflect that.
