Wow. PROPER Strawberry Shortcake!
I only now collect Orange Blossom though, so sad she's not there, I'd buy her definately if they sold them in England, oh yes.

I wanted one of those as a child but never got one. Never seen them in a charity shop either! Well done!

Cheddar is what I use mostly, being the usual household English cheese I grew up on, but you can't beat a bit of Wensleydale, and Wensleydale and Cranberry at Christmas time!
But I also have cravings for Paneer, (Indian/Pakistani cheese), as I love Paneer Tikka, I like it more than chocolate, like paneer and spinach masala and similar,  and Paneer Pakora on rare occasions that I can get it, although the restaurant I've eaten it at cuts the cheese into such huge blocks for a starter that I felt like I'd eaten the equivalent of 3 blocks of supermarket cheddar by the end of it, and didn't have much room for my main course and pudding!

I still have a few of my childhood toys, such as Lego and my childhood Action Man collection and Sindys and their horses, and a few other childhood early 80s toys, but my main collections are Cabbage Patch Kids, and Vintage Pound Puppies. I have also re-collected my Care Bears (downsized just to the characters I had in childhood) and recollected SSC, (and additionally have bought vintage Orange Blossom merchandise, like the Berry Baby, Blow Kiss baby, etc). Still have Snoopy stuff from childhood and will pick up any vintage Snoopy merchandise, he's a hero of mine. I didn't have Popples, Moondreamers, Rainbow Brite, Glo Worms, or most other toy lines but wanted certain characters, like that Moondreamers polar bear, the Rainbow Brite horse, a small glow worm in a sleeping bag, the Cow Puffalump, etc! I do admittedly miss my Wuzzle, the Piggypine one, but don't want to start new collections so trying not to get tempted!

I've either added to my childhood toys (Cabbage Patch, MLP, Pound Puppies,) or re-collected what I had in childhood and added to them (Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears). I have a big collection of black fashion dolls, Barbie, Christie, Stephen etc, when I only had Sindy as a child, but I collect black dolls anyway, they were hard to find when I was a child.
I have owned a few toys I didn't have in childhood, such as a few Glo worms, Wuzzles, and there are 3 Popples upstairs, but I try and sell those on Ebay so I don't build up any more collections. Still a few odd 70s/80s toys I would love, but only certain ones, not entire collections.

I'm going to watch it again as I didn't manage to grasp the plotline as best I should, but him being in a drug induced haze means if bits of the episode don't add up, that's probably why. That's what I'm telling myself anyway.

I watched it and liked it, as ever it was better once I'd worked out what on earth was going on!

I bought myself some inspirational posters that I bought frames for and framed today for my room I use as an office. Inspirational in that they are of my fave actors, a young Denzel Washington and Sidney Poitier! Inspiring to me, anyway... Oh, I accidentally bought myself the Maze Runner series and another series of books as they were on special offer. I don't have many people to buy me presents, so I buy what I like anyway.

Jealous! Bit like my little black childhood pup, Huckle. I collect them but don't have any boxed examples. Darn international postage and customs costs!

I speak some Urdu, got a qualification in it a few years ago, but recently did a 10 week beginners evening course as a refresher as I get muddled up with Urdu, and the more commonly spoken Mirpuri Punjabi dialect that lots of the kids I work with speak, that shares words! I like Bollywood films, and Urdu and Hindi are pretty similar...
I have owned dozens of Japanese phrase books since childhood, but never managed to have the time to learn! I collected phrase books as a child, wanted to learn Maori, Japanese, and Swahili, and would nowadays also want to learn Yoruba but no chance! I'd better stick with one language to learn at the moment!

Some really good ideas, folks, including many I'm not allergic too! So basically if your heating breaks down, wrap up an alpaca, some small furry animals, some mittens, and a bathtub of hot water and an electric blanket in some bubble wrap, and place under a small table! Thanks!
An engineer came out at 9.30 this morning and mended the boiler! Hooray! So he left the heating on, and I went shopping in town. Came home to strange noises coming from the boiler, the pressure gauge was nearly off the scale, and the thing was flashing weird numbers. So had to call British Gas and they sent a second guy buy 6pm, who seems to have finally fixed it! But watch this space folks, I may be asking for a lifetime's supply of bubble wrap, enough to cover a small 3 bedroom house!

Thanks all! Off for 4th day in row off sick, and Letting Agent eventually managed to get an engineer to visit. And he's got to come back tomorrow! Apparently something very interesting (?) wrong with the combi boiler's diverter valve, the wires coming from the cartridge in the valve are broken and then all that trouble with the PLB? Or something. Which could also mess up the hot water, every time the metal cover is taken off, something or other pings out. I just nodded politely. The boiler is a cheap crummy one, as that's what couldn't care less landlords are like, and they tend to break down apparently, boilers, not landlords, but it'll cost him. Oh yes. But hopefully only one more night of being cold, and I may get heating back.

Thanks, forgot to say the boiler care repair guy left 2 little fan heaters, but I can't afford a huge elec bill so only putting them on for 5 mins at a time every few hours! Haven't anyone I can stay with, relatives are 200 miles away, and all nearby friends have dogs, and I'm very allergic. So sadly can't cuddle armfuls of puppies to keep warm, even if I had some spare ones lying about.
Am looking at all suggestions, think my fave is Galactica's choice of an Alpaca, although I'm all out of those at the moment! Off sick for 3rd day, voice came back a bit just now, so will be phoning letting agents until I get through to find out what on earth is going on, since they didn't bother to return my email yesterday! May be venturing outside to get bus to laundrette to dry washing out, since I haven't been able to do any washing for 5 days as nowhere to dry it! Thanks folks!

5 days without heating, still waiting on the letting agents of the house to tell me what on earth is going on, since their boiler repair insurance co has said it isnt covered! So to cheer me up, has anyone got any novel ideas for keeping warm when this happens? Had 2 sick days off work, but the cold's made my chest infection feel worse!
So far I've: Stayed in bed, had 2 hot water bottles on the go at once, layers of blankets, dressing gowns, etc. Cuddling soft toys, Thermal curtains, curtain linings, draught excluders at the base of doors, (sat in bed sewing another one yesterday!), bubble wrap up at the attic window, new doorway type curtain up the attic stairs, hot drinks, curries, cooker door left open after cooking, I've done most things apart from setting the curtains alight! Any other ideas?
