When shipping an item in a bag is it considered to be a package or an envelope? I have not done it before and want to make sure i get it right!

It depends on how large the item is, does it fit a standard letter size but maybe slightly thicker? then its a envelope
If its larger though its a package and I would advise using something sturdier (I personally use the large kraft envelopes for shipping packages)

Generally it will be a package. Unless it's totally flat. :)

What are you shipping? A pony/toy: it's a package. A book/stickers/something pretty flat: an envelope
