Apparently if you are not on WiFi the ponies that you can get during balloon pop can be purchased with bits...  when you are hooked on and linked into Gameloft-  the ponies show up as prize ponies only.

Which ponies are balloon prize? Snails still shows up as balloon prize for me. The rest of the ponies show up as either hearts or gems or bits but there are not many more bits ponies that I see - most are hearts or gems. Besides the ones I haven't leveled up to be able to purchase yet.

I heard there will be pet tokens for the LPS game included with the toys. I wonder if Hasbro will be including something for the app in the pony toys too.

You can't change snails from being a balloon game, unfortunately.  I was lucky enough to win him the only time I've ever paid coins for the balloon pop.  As for the others, Time Turner, Caramel, Daring Doo, and Magnum are all Balloon Pop prizes that change to bits if you have the wifi turned off.

Soarin is a gem pony that can be bought with bits using the airplane mode cheat as well.

You could always just place dirt roads on top of squares to "reserve" them and prevent obstacles from spawning on them.

What I usually do with obstacles is start clearing them early in the day, and as soon as the obstacle is gone, place dirt roads all over the spot where it was.

I still have to deal with a few obstacles, but nothing larger than 1 square (since I've left a 1-square rim around the dirt roads that were originally present).

I make checkboards with the dirt roads.

I'm still having problems with time traveling. My daily bonuses have come back, but I still can't time travel.

I go into my phone's settings for the time and date. I uncheck the automatic setting. I change the date, changing the day first, and click set. Before I can even exit the settings the date is changed back to the correct date.

Any ideas?????

I'm addicted to this little game, although I'm angry that you can't advance in the story without paying money for gems to buy Rarity with.

ETA: I got frustrated and found a hack that allows me to get gems more easily (and free) which is terrible but at least I can advance in the game! B)

When the game was new- I guiltily admit that I spent some $$ and spent it all on balloon pop. (That was before the discovery that most of the ponies could be purchased if you turn on airplane mode).  On the upside of playing that cursed game, the chance of getting good stuff through it is pretty good (got a lot of statutes, ice sculptures and the ponies very fast- lots of grain silos too which was less exciting...)

The problem with this game is that it got so boring so fast.   There are no seasonal updates, no new decorations, nothing particularly awesome to buy with "bits".   And it is sad that so many of the ponies and objects cost $50 or more to buy-

Also- if you were tempted by the "Get free gems!" offer-  I would say don't do it.  I tried one of them in my desperation to get Cadence, went through the song and dance of signing up for something I don't want - waiting a few days and cancelling- and NEVER got the promised gems.  Gameloft said they were looking into it last I heard-  that was last week. 

My biggest problem with this game is the in-game friends feature-  the game requires friends and trading - but the feature doesn't work.  I have 150+ friends, but 98% of them don't show up in my in-game list.   I haven't seen a new friend added since November.  Gameloft (I thought) had promised a patch to fix this glitch, but I haven't seen any.  If they would fix the friends feature, we would all, at the very least, have all of the ponies that can be bought with hearts.

How do I add friends?  I just downloaded this a week or so ago.    When I go to Social and "Invite," it gives me the option of inviting FB friends, but not GameLoft.

Assuming you mean adding friends on Gameloft, here's a step-by-step guide:

1. click the blue square icon in the menu to go onto Gameloft live
2. once it loads, move the cursor on the left until you get to your friends list on Gameloft live
3. click the orange button near the top of the screen, type in the username of someone you want to add, and press search
4. click the blue + button next to the person you want to add to send a friend request.

Also, for accepting friend requests:
(assuming you do step one listed above)
2. move the cursor on the left until you get to your messages
3. click the tab on the upper right of the screen that says 'requests'
4. if you have friend requests here, press the blue check button to accept a request or the blue trash button to decline

If you're wondering how to get friends to show up in the in-game friend list, all you can really do is wait for people you added on Gameloft live to slowly get added to the list.
