The pink popple is named Party Popple. Though why it looks so big in that picture is strange. Maybe the girl is just small for her age? It looks like the popple has been washed several times (the hair is flattened down), that could be why it looks floppier than normal.

I am having half a thought though: didn't they make popple pajama cases?

I would guess it is a newer re-release.  Look closely on right side of photo- it looks like a newer Popple tag to me. I don't think it was washed- it looks like the fur is shorter than the old ones.

I bought the yellow version a year ago on yahoo japan
