My biggest tip for older releases is overstock stores. Ollie’s, Tuesday Mornings, and Ross Dress for Less have all yielded older pony items we either skipped because they were too pricey or missed in our area. I found the five pack of scented Rainbow ponies in an Ollie’s last week! Ross has given us all the TRU exclusive birthday surprise series, and we found a lot of the mall and beach Equestria Girls chibi singles at Ross.

Oh and the School of Friendship playset half price at a Tuesday Mornings, along with the Equestria Girls dolls with the mix and match outfits.

Yes, this is the wedding castle playset from 2012. Yes, those are in fact 2016 G4 molds with 2020 G4 eyes stamped on them. This is gonna shelf sit really bad once it comes out I'm sure.

This is SO funny. I expected to see a repackaged/recoloured castle this year but not the Wedding Castle from *2012*! It's hardly even that different colour-wise, and good to see they're still getting use out of the Sweetie Belle table and the cake from G3.5 Ponyville.

Why the old molds for the ponies, though?! That part doesn't make sense to me. I guess it really is a matter of trying to get rid of old stock that nobody wanted.

D-do you think this is just a really weird place holder? Like the play set will come with the new pony life style ponies but they threw together this play set concept before they unveiled the new molds?

That’s wishful thinking of course, but this is honestly just bizarre. I’m not surprised by the recolored castle at this point, but going BACK to the reboot old mold with new eye shapes is such a weird choice. I honestly really came to love the new molds, so I hope they’re not backing off of them!

If this IS real how many sub generations of G4 will we have?! These are going to be so hard to label!
