wow. That's so sad! I saw a customised wave 1 lagoona on ebay and I was gutted, it was done by someone who 'thought it looked fun', but I just felt sad...

Ok I may be completely out of line here...but am I the only one who thinks that children that are too young to handle semi-expensive dolls shouldn't have them? I don't know, it just seems like a waste if a week after you buy your kid a doll it's naked, painted on and bald. >.>

If something were to happen like that, then it's on the parents for spending that much on a doll that's that expensive. They buy an expensive doll for their young child, and the child doesn't take care of it, a lesson has been learned for the parents.

As for children being too young to handle an expensive doll, it all comes down to the child, There are some children who cherish their toys, others that constantly go through them. I know where you're coming from, but I wouldn't lump all children to one category. :P

Not all children constantly go through toys and destory them like the Tibble Twins. XD

I really wonder what the parents of the kid that owned the dolls in that first pic were thinking when they spent that much money on dolls that the kid clearly doesn't take care of. I mean, unless they bought them all at once (unlikely) they would have seen the kid destroy the first one, then the next, and so on, so why keep spending that kind of cash on them?

When I was a kid, I took great care of all my toys because I knew if I ruined them, they'd be thrown away and I wouldn't get a replacement. My son also took really good care of his toys because the first time he decided to draw on his toys with a marker (I think he was around 4 or 5), I took every one of them that he drew on and threw them in the garbage right in front of him. Then I told him if he ruins another toy by drawing on it or breaking it in any way, I'd do the same thing. It may sound harsh, but it worked. He never ruined another toy and he never drew on anything but paper again. Now he's 12 and collects the older Pokemon figures and while he does buy most of them himself, he still says he wishes he hadn't drawn on the ones he had when he was younger because they're fairly expensive now.

This
My niece's MH dolls are immaculate and she's 10. Got her first one when she was 8. She has a shelving unit just for them, and they all have their stands and accessories. The only thing she's managed to lose is DOTD Cleo's purse, and I'm pretty sure it's under the dresser.
