Advice needed: eBay buyer says package never arrived RESOLUTION!

I hope eBay decides in your favor! *crosses fingers* I doubt she's telling the truth, but even if she is and her house was broken into, how are you responsible? Also, how could someone have broken in and stolen it if it was never delivered? She shot herself in the foot with that statement.

I would contact Ebay with all the info the buyer has provided at this point.  They'll see their multiple stories and hopefully side with you.

If their house was broken into and the item stolen - they should be talking to their insurance company about it. It is NOT your responsibility to refund - it did get there safely, it was delivered.

I'm not buying their new story. Changes in story to try and get item and money are what happened in my case too. I still say scammer     .
 (I'm not saying that parcels aren't sometimes stolen, especially if people live in an apartment block, but this is a different situation the same as mine was that I mentioned earlier)
Please do forward all the new info on to ebay. You will win the case anyway but with the person changing the story like that they might be trying it on with more than just you and ebay might want to do further investigations into their activities  as well , and not just refund them themselves as they would for a genuine case
Its true that if the persons house was broken into then this would be a matter for the police anyways not you or ebay, but they changed their story so nope I don't believe them

I agree with all the posts above! And here's the conclusion: eBay issued the buyer a full refund, out of their money. I'm surprised they did considering the buyer basically said the item was stolen from the house, but perhaps it's less expensive to take this hit than to lose his/her business. The buyer has a long eBay record and all positive feedback.

So I do get to keep the payment, but the whereabouts of Slugger . . . they may never be known!

I Sold a Pony during December and the package was Delivered, then the buyer sent me a message saying she did not find my package and several others that show delivered that day ,She was asking me to refund her, I told her I couldn't do that , as the item arrived to her mailbox/porch,she asked then to file with Usps and I told her Usps would not pay either on a delivered package, perhaps her credit card would cover I suggested for her to call them,but she called ebay and then ebay paid her ,She was lucky ,because it was a mail theft from her home.

My Mailman sometimes marks things delivered if I'm not home ,and he keeps them for  the next day delivery.
