Sold a couple art prints on eBay and got this message from Buyer. I get the part about combining shipping, but what's the other thing she's asking about? Google translate was not helpful. :/

Photo Contest: Take a pic featuring Sugarberry! Do you see her at the beach sunfading tanning? Or perhaps she is looking glamorous for a night out. Print your best shot (no smaller than 4x6) and bring with to the Jubilee.

2D Art Contest: aka Flat Art! Draw, paint, color, or create digital art of Sugarberry!

3D Art/Craft Contest: Just about anything else goes here: plushies, sculptures, jewelry, knits, stained glass, chainsaw log carvings etc featuring Sugarberry!

Custom contest: Make a custom pony of Sugarberry! Use G1, G2, G3 or G4 base. Adult or baby. Perhaps reimagine her as a unicorn, pegasus, flutter or sea pony!

Coloring contest: Color the line art provided!

Contest rules: One entry per member per contest. Must be at least three entries in a contest for prizes to be awarded.

"Gift Grab Dice Game"
Supplies:
- everyone brings 2-3 wrapped presents (plus extra if bringing a plus one)
- value should be $1-$3. You may pop in an item of slightly higher value, totally your call. Ups fun.
- suggestions for gifts: ponies, accessories, merch, plush, backcards, paper ephemera, art, customs, handmade items, G1 retro stuff, candy/snacks. (Please note that G1 items are way more popular than G4 merch...)

Instructions:
1. Everyone sits in a circle, around pile of wrapped presents.
2. Shake, roll, grab, pass! Two baking tins with three dice each are passed around the circle. There are three rounds:
    Round I The first round is not timed. Everyone gets a chance to roll the dice. If you roll doubles, pass the dice tin & select a gift from the middle. If no doubles, just pass the tin. Round end when there are no more gifts in the middle. It is OK for people to have multiple presents, and some people to not have any presents at all – it happens!
    Round II Timed round. Set a timer (with a LOUD ringer!) for ~5 minutes (depends on size of group). Play proceeds as former round, only this time when doubles are rolled, select a gift from someone else’s pile. Round ends when timer goes off! (If someone rolled doubles BEFORE the timer sounds they still get to pick a gift).
3. Everyone opens their presents. No hiding the good ones – you must show everyone your gift!
    Round III Timed round. This time set the timer for a shorter period, but one that will still allow each person to get 2-3 rolls in. When doubles are rolled, select an unwrapped gift of your choice from another player! Round ends when timer goes off! (If someone rolled doubles BEFORE the timer sounds they still get to pick a gift).
4. Victory dance if you got the gift you wanted! Of course, there’s bound to be plenty of bartering, trading, and occasionally giving to those that didn’t get any presents at all. Also if a player did not get a gift, they are invited to select something from the prize table. Everyone’s a winner!

Trader & Shipping Support / Ebay buyer wants to do an off-ebay sale? What to do?

Nothing subversive intended- I just started listing/selling some watercolor prints on ebay (for the first time ever! I'm so nervous!), and it didn't take long for someone to inquire about commissioning an original piece. Of course, I DO take commissions! ...But at my esty shop or here on the Arena.

How can I let her know this without getting reprimanded/shut down by ebay? I feel like, if I even MENTION in the *monitored* ebay message that I take commissions through my etsy shop, ebay will shut me down.

This is our only correspondence so far...

buyer: I'd love a twinkle eyed gingerbread. Do you take commissions? If so how much

Me:  Good afternoon! Thanks for your interest in my pony watercolors! Unfortunately I am unable to take commissions through eBay.

buyer:  If I gave you my e m a i l could we do it then?

I suppose there might be a way to do a commission on ebay, but I'd really rather not! I prefer the process on etsy/arena or independently.

Strawberry Surprise For 2016 Arena calendar. Do you know her backcard story? “Strawberry Surprise strolled in the sun beneath a big parasol. "I smell strawberries!" she exclaimed, following the sweet scent to a patch of strawberries. Glancing up at a little cloud, Strawberry Surprise had an idea! She turned the parasol upside down and filled it with strawberries. Ringlets I would like to admit that when I saw who this week's Draw Together pony was, my first reaction was "Oh well, looks like I'll skip this week." I wasn't really excited to paint this gal- not one of my favorite pony poses, and the colors weren't working for me. However, I did want to sketch something for this set because Curly Locks and Pretty Vision are on my "to paint" list (childhood ponies). But as I sketched, I turned the pose a little, and started thinking about Ringlets again- I pulled her onto my studio table and read her backstory- and I fell in love. Here she is, one of the loveliest ponies in the herd, Ringlets! I call this painting "Princess for the day". I left out her extra barrettes and even her tail ribbon (!) to portray her natural and demure beauty. Her body base is blueish grey with greyish blue highlights.  :P

Off Topic / Help in San Antonio?

Hey everypony!

I'm heading to the lovely city of San Antonio over Thanksgiving. Flying into SAT, then heading to Laredo.

I can't decide if I should rent a car or take the greyhound, or? It seems complicated to get from SAT to the greyhound terminal, like once we add taxi/uber fees roundtrip, the cost is on par with renting a car... and the Via bus just takes SO long...

Any advice from locals? Is there a low cost or free shuttle to downtown from SAT? Or other suggestions for getting around?

Or heck- Anyone have a spare vehicle they could rent us for a few days? (Or trade for ponies!)
