Hair Restoration Advice Needed & Rehairing Commission Query

Okay, so! I purchased a Minty keychain that looks like http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/File:G3-minty-keychain.jpg, but, well, in worse shape. I cleaned and combed out her hair, but it's still pretty dry and frizzy (plus, if I pull it so that it's straight, it stands out on its own, which is a little unnerving). Does anybody have any tips to share for fixing this? I'm pretty sure I couldn't rehair her even if I tried.

Second question is re: commissioning. What kind of prices would I be looking at if I wanted to pay someone to just rehair an already de-haired baby G1?

That keychain looks to be made of seamed hard plastic (please correct me if I am mistaken).  You would pretty much have to break it to get it apart.  It can be done with bigger plastic pieces safely, but that girl is so small that the risk is higher.  Have you considered sculpting new hair on her and cutting off the old?

I don't own one of these so I don't have any experience... however if she does have a seam like CSA has stated... well you can rehair her like some people rehair model horses

I have a few of those keychains and yes, rehairing (with actual hair, not sculpting hair on) it would be fairly close to if not entirely impossible. I have mine packed away right now since I am moving soon so I can't physically look it over but if I remember correctly rehairing isn't possible.
