I have downsized before, but because I did it in a moment that wasn't rushed out of financial desperation I had plenty of time to consider my decisions...and I'm super happy with the improved focus it brought to my collecting. Even though I let go of about a third of my collection at the time, I'm still satisfied because my new motto is "Less, but better."
There were only two I regret selling: HQG1C Fabulous Hair Fair Feathers (but I know she went to a friend with a fab collection)...and the more time passes, the more confident I feel in those choices.

I am very vErY late to the party, but HAPPY ARENAVESARRY EVERYONE! Many thanks from the bottom of my heart to the mods for all you do. When I first started collecting, the Arena was the first community I found where I felt like I belonged ^_^ Sending so much love to you all!

Also here to encourage any new customizers who might be on the fence about entering the CUSTOM CONTEST  This year's theme is "Bejeweled Beauty" : be sure to incorporate some jewls, gems, glitter, sequins, crystals, anything that shines! Agree with you about the waste! My old roomie had a soda stream, and circa 2014-2015 it was NOT a good solution for us seltzer-crushing monsters. Loud and expensive, plus the bottles got really scuzzy. We ended up replacing it with straight up Nitrous Oxide (n2o) cartridges from a restaurant supply store and adding fruit juice to the water to make our own, a la Spindrift. This has been a successful upgrade in the house, but we still keep cans on hand for convenience and to-go situations.
