I'm glad to see they are making a set with Izzy's teaset/table thing, I was hoping they would and it looks like a fun set.

The removable cutie marks is...interesting? I wonder if it will tie in to the show somehow or not.

FiM was all like "Maybe we'll give you one background character a year that you could maybe say was inspired by a g1 character if you squint" while g5 is out here like "Here's some g1 characters. They just exist in the g5 universe. They have speaking roles and names. Here ya go."

It was about time. I was always wondering why Hasbro recycled all those Transformers names and designs to hell and back but would try and squeeze the last drop out of MLP.
If you use names and designs you already have you are doing less work and people are still happy.

Anybody remember that FiM episode with the spitting images of Toola Roola and Another G3 pony that escapes me... and they said their names and had dialogue. It was a complete one-time thing.

Oh yeah I do remember that! It was great! I wish they had chosen two different ponies, tho, because the simplicity of most FiM designs made the much-more-busy-and-colorful G3 designs really stand out in an odd way.

Yes! And I remember it now, it was Toola Roola and Coconut Cream. They were so specifically chosen, they had got to be an animator's childhood ponies or something.
