Pony Corral / German - Swirly Whirly hair colour

Hello,

Just curious if anyone has a German Swirly Whirly with blue hair, who can compare/match the blue air with another US my little pony with the same hair colour. I bought another Swirly Whirly that has bad hair so I could reroot her to match her German counter part.

I’m trying to match the colour on ShimmerLocks.com. I have extra “Marina” hair from that site which I think it’s kind of close when I compare the picture, but I’d love to ensure it’s the best match. 

If anyone could help that would be wonderful!

I never really loved my Cherry Treats that much as a kid so I never thought I’d start collecting the Sweetberry ponies as I never had any others and there wasn’t much nostalgia factor for me for them. Sadly I sold all my ponies when I was 20 for extra cash to go travelling so up until about a year ago I did not have any Sweetberry ponies in my herd.

I ended up finding Raspberry Jam in the wild and bought her as the “No pony left behind rule  gets me most times” and really ended up being quite fond of her. Now I’m only missing Cherry Treats from that set, as she continues to allude me. I was very excited to find Cranberry Muffins a couple weeks ago, who I thought I would never have as she’s very sought after and expensive, but I found her online for $20 bucks (which I sort of thought was a scam at first). Thankfully it wasn’t and she has factory curls Woop!

I have to say that this set of ponies has quickly become one of my favourites, BlueBerry Baskets is just perfection in real life. Not sure why I was holding out on them for so long.

Anyone else have sets like that?

I bought Munchy during the early days of the pandemic in 2020 on the Arena. The seller said she was 60 Euros. I thought that was expensive because I just got back into collecting after many years away from the community. I bought a bushwoolie and TE tic Tac toe from her as well. She gave me great deals on those too, but I didn’t realize at the time.

Knowing now that Munchy goes for like 200 USD I’m shocked. Her price might have fallen a bit as all prices seem to be going down from the pandemic highs, but Munchy was the first pony I bought for myself and I realize that it was a lucky score.

I just recently purchased a SS Sundance and I expected her to come with the year 4 flocking but she seems to have year 5 flocking.

I checked strawberry reef and it looks like she was a year 4 pony available both in store and  through mail order.

Was the store version year 4 flocking and the mail order year 5 flocking!? I’m curious if anyone knows.

I’ve finished another one.

I still think I like the babies more than the adults I’ve done. I also recently saw someone post their rehair of Star Dancer with melange of blue/white/rink hair and it was SO gorgeous, so I’m after seeing that I’m not asin love with mine as theirs, but she’s still cute. :)

I didn’t realize this until after I was done but I reversed her hair colour and tinsel, pink hair with blue tinsel. I did add pink tinsel too but it’s hard to see it since it matches the hair almost too perfectly. Her hair is from shimmer locks, Heart Throb’s colour. The tinsel is from them too, there aren’t as many options, I think it’s just “blue” and “pink.”

Hope you like her.

I’m out of ponies, I need to find four more sparkle pony baits now. If anyone has Sky Rocket, Twinkler, Gusty or Firefly, send me a DM.

Pony Corral / Vancouver BC - G1 and G3 collectors

Hello,

I was going to post this in trades but it doesn’t seem very active so I thought I’d get a better response here (MODS please move if you think otherwise).

I’m looking to see if there are any G1/G3 collectors in the Vancouver BC Canada area that are looking to trade. Over the last few years I’ve collected quite a few doubles and thought it would be nice to save on shipping fees and be able to add to our collections without having to pay for shipping while getting rid of our extras.

I only collect G1 and G3 and was hoping there were others in my area that would be open to sharing photos and trading doubles.
