Today should have been my PhD graduation ceremony.

But Covid rather got in the way.

Should have been in London right now

It should hopefully happen next year though, fingers crossed.

I'm not sure if I broke my toe. I stubbed it hard yesterday on my wicker ottoman. It hurts, it's completely bruised, it's swollen, but I can still (painfully) move it. So I dunno. It's the pinky toe.

The evening sky had that weird color today where the light coming into the room made everything look blood-tinted, it just didn't feel right.

Not nice!!! Keep an eye on toe, & if it gets worse take toe to doctor.
I still recall when I was taking a bin out, tripped & badly hurt half of one foot... Fortunately it got better & nothing was broken, but still not nice

My complaint:
Yesterday afternoon this lady calls minutes before closing to tell us she's on the way with her dog for an emergency c-section.  I'm done with my work, so I say "Peace Out!" and skedaddle before I get stuck staying late. 
Today, I have to work on my Saturday off to cover for another employee.  Once I get there, I find out my boss didn't think the dog was ready last night, so told her to come back at closing today for surgery.  So I loose my Saturday off and stay 2.5 hours late for a c-section.  Ugh.

I've got to the point where something really, REALLY bad has to happen in my story & I don't want to go there!!! I know I have to, & make it a truly awful thing, followed by utterly terrible consequences, but I'm so NOT looking forward to it!!!

(the story itself is off-topic, being based on people not Ponies, but I really want to get this one finished)

Me and hubby went for a four hour long bikeride yesterday which was wonderful. It's not so wonderful today when my legs feel like jelly and keep protesting when I move. I have to work today. Somehow I have to get to work!

Not a trivial complaint, per se, but I don't feel like posting a lengthy WYP post.

Here's the rundown of what's happened over the last ten days:

- Like the rest of the northern hemisphere, it's hot
- I need to re-do a large page on the family website
- Three of our cows have injured hooves

And to top it all off, our favorite bull has a hernia and has to be put down. Despite being six years old, he's remained extremely docile, both to humans and other animals - heck, he lets my horse nibble on his ears. Losing him is devastating, to put it mildly.

I just want this month to be over.

The pandemic has been good for requests and art traffic on my website but man! I’m having a hard time getting into some of these requests. I’m just not feeling it, and I’m worried that might cause them to turn out sub par to what my standards are. Not to mention my sister and I have been butting heads for the past week over trivial things. Like, I ask if she needs any help with her chores and she gets mad at me because “I shouldn’t have to ask you to do it! You should know what to do!” And she tells me no, she has it under control. Only to then get upset when she’s feeling tired and “I’ve been doing XYZ all by myself, and you’re just a lazy bum!” Like what do you want me to do?! I’m stressed about my future in a post covid-19 world, trying to do my work without interruptions, handle client control because “it’s taking a while” (shut up you asked for 17 pictures). The last thing I want are some mixed signals because I am terrible at reading people! You need to tell me exactly what you want me to do, not be passive aggressive about it.

I've had a really bad day

I wake to find my sister has moved some of my boxes. She screwed up my plan to put all the bins in one place and boxes in another.

My dad made me cry. My sister made me cry. I haven't cried since I was still only on paroxetine.

I tried to take some things to my apartment and barely made it up the stairs. I had an asthma attack and my inhaler started leaking brown goo.

I've had a headache all day.

My body is so sore I can't put my shoes on

My DVD player is not working right. The movie I was trying to watch last night got stuck inside the player and I almost didn’t get it back out.
