Thanks Taffeta. The hard part is not knowing. Like, we're still open, we stil have to go to work, but if it's because they think they can rescue us or if it's just temporarly we don't know. I have a schedule for a month ahead of me when I'm better, but we can get a call that we need to close up within the hour. That is tough and I guess the stress of not knowing is one part of me being so sick.

I went through this with my library some years back, while we were all waiting to know about redeployment and such like, and it's hugely stressful, though people don't realise because they think, well, you're still working...

In any case, I hope it all works out for you. Fingers crossed for a takeover of your store.

Thanks

I woke up with a sore ankle. How? Why? Did I hurt it in my sleep? Did I do it yesterday and only felt it today? Don't I have enough problems? :(

I tried some raspberry jaffa cakes and in theory, they sounded like a great idea, but they were horrendously bland - they didn't taste of anything whatsoever! What an affront!

Stubborn parents insisting on doing home DIY themselves (both over 70) because it's too much hassle to call someone in, and then not understanding why I'm concerned about them climbing up on ladders and the cabinet to drill the walls...

Also the fact that a hard drive I had had four months died on me. I didn't lose anything of value, but I bought it to back up a drive that's 12 years old (and yet the 12 year old drive is still functioning...whereas...sigh, cheap new tech).

This is a very trivial complaint.

My sister doesn't know how a bar of soap works. We usually have liquid hand soap in the bathroom but we're out. Every month I get some free medical supplies which includes these (kinda harsh tbh) antibacterial bar soaps. So I put one out. The sink has indents where you can place a bar of soap. These bars are, like many soaps, curved on one side. This is the down side. You place it curve side down so it doesn't sit in water and get all funky. My sister does not understand this concept and keep placing it upside down so it sits in water and gets all funky. It is driving me insane. How much of a doofus are you to not know how to operate a bar of soap!?

My uncle that I've only seen a few times called my mother today and then wanted to talk to me. He kept telling me all kinds of strange things that didn't make a lot of sense like I should be an auto mechanic even though I told him that I don't understand cars and that I should get a "real job" I have a real job it's just not a very good one.

I enjoy doing 3d puzzles.  Most of them have a pole that helps hold the pieces together. I was almost done with the puzzle I was working on but had to take it apart because I had put the pole in at the wrong time and the top of the puzzle wouldn't fit.

The weather is being stupid. It's very humid but cold. My body doesn't know if it should sweat or get under a blanket.

I bought a glue gun just the other day because of that! I have a pegasus I'm trying to build but my fingers are too short to hold it together and it's like five pieces left until the pole is going in. Drives me bonkers so now I'm gonna glue it together :pout:.
