BUT they also get sunburnt pretty bad.  I've seen a Sunny Daze look like a bronzed Malibu Barbie....

I seriously want to see that. :blink:

Actually, now I'm curious. I wanna see, too!

I got her off of ebay with a bunch of other baits one time, and her condition intrigued me. She's supposed to be white, but she's purple and pink instead? I assume someone tried to boil her to dye her body, but....What do you think? The camera makes the red spots look like rust stains, but I assure you, they're more red/pinkish in person.

I love Dawn Ultra for general cleaning of ponies/dolls—that stuff is amazing! I do worry about using it too much on the hair, though... Isn’t it rather drying?

I'm not sure, actually. It seemed to work well with everyone, except my G3 butterpop, who turned out slightly greasy. Maybe I didn't get all of the soap out.

That blue Dawn dish-soap seems to yield pretty nice results. I've also used an off-brand baby shampoo, but after getting a tip to use dish soap instead, I never went back.

Pony Brag Arena / New additions and some updates!!

Got some new ponies over the past couple days. Oddly, these all came from the same resale store, so I'm pretty happy with my discoveries.

So first, we have a SweetieBelle (You can tell 'cause she's got her name on her leg)
What I like about her is she's still got the plastic thing that gets put in the hair to keep the hair pre-styled on both her mane and tail. I'm planning on keeping it that way because I've never seen that happen.

Next is my first ever Minty. I've always wanted a Minty of my very own, and while she's not full-size, she IS still the green and pink clumsy doof we all know and love <3

I also got one of those painted G3 figures. This one of Rainbow dash. Excuse the blur, my camera thinks pony legs in the background are more interesting than small figurines.

Onto G4, I got a couple EQG mcdonalds figures. I cannot stand dolls that don't have the option to move their legs because getting them to stand in the house where I live in where you can hear and feel every footstep, is like winning the lottery 3 times in a row and then finding an actual real life leprechaun.

AAAAND! A Miss Pommell Mcdonalds figure.

Now onto updates and neat stuuuuuffs:

Some people wanted to see my EQG Mini Rainbow dash with the fake leg. (I lovingly call her Fred or MY LEG...for obvious reasons.) I got her for free from a local wal-mart. Yes, really. I found her doing my rounds looking for some more figures of Muffins because favorite, and found her without her package and without a leg. I took her to customer service, and the lady there said they'd be losing money either way of me taking it or sending it back to the manufacturer....so she let me have her for free! (Of course, a friend of mine told me they think the store actually gets paid for sending faulty items back, but that was way after I took her home, so, whatever :3) As you can see, I made the fake leg out of a sucker stick, some tape and a reciept.

Another cool thing I never showed you guys was this Mommy Charm I found somewhere.  I can't remember where, exactly, but I'm glad she's in with my collection!

I bought some ribbon recently, and I gave all my G1 ponies (and my two G2 ponies) ribbons. I didn't have blue or green, so the ones that were supposed to have those got kinda white-ish with yellow-red-blue stripes. Close enough. The ones without tails got ribbons around their necks!

Finally, I found some air-dry clay a few days ago and could finally try to fix the worst of my  G3 Mcdonalds Starswirl's feet.

Not only that, but I finally got rid of my Sweetheart Sister Starflash's old makeshift feet made of some pom-poms and tape(Her previous owner had a particularly chewwy dog), and replaced it with air-dry clay! It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but  now she doesn't wobble around because of the pom-pom's bounciness!!

Pony Corral / Re: What's the weirdest place you've found a pony?
« on: May 14, 2018, 05:33:41 AM »
Just remembered another strange place story. This time it's less strange, and more "strange circumstance".
I was at a Wal-mart one time, doing my usual rounds to see if they have anything Muffins related. I did some searching and found an equestria girls mini Dash who was out of her package and missing a leg! Couldn't find the leg, so I brought her up to customer service, and the lady there told me to "Just take it for free. We'd have to take it back to the manufacturer anyway, and either way, we'd lose money."
Come to find out later that wasn't entirely the case, as I believe they get paid for sending back a faulty item, but whatever. Free pony(woman) from a retail store legally! She's resting on my G4 shelf with a makeshift leg made of a sucker stick, some tape, and some string.

Found my BBE Baby Lickety Split in the backyard when I was 7ish. At the time I didn't like ponies so I left it there, but I eventually rescued her, and to this day she's safely on my G1 shelf.
Come to find out, she aparently was owned by my mother at one point, so she must've been out there YEARS before I found her even back then. <3

Have her, and the other ponies that came with the set....Except I lost Party time. But I digress. BBEs hold a special place in my heart.

Pony Corral / Re: What were your pony misconceptions?

I don't think it's too surprising that people commonly associated G1 with tea parties and frills, because the commercials were 100% tea parties and frills.

Heheh, if it helps, my not liking pony at a young age was me having some sort of vendetta against anything and everything 'girlie' and 'pretty' when I was....5...and it carried over until G4 came out and loosened me up a bit. ^u^

I have a top 3 for G1:
I wanna say the one where the big brother ponies appeared and there was a wizard that drained the girl ponies's life force is my top favorite. I forget the name, but I love the premise.
Return to (of?) Tambelon was nice, as well, with a great story. Also one of my favorites, but...eeeehhh....the songs were kinda not very good in some cases, and BRAY.
And Revolt of Paradise Estate. Now that was an interesting premise for everything coming to life in the house. And...d'aww the last few seconds of the ending were really sweet.

Pony Corral / Re: Before you knew their correct names-!
« on: May 07, 2018, 07:52:48 PM »
Glory=Arrowhead
SweetSparkle=SugarDancer
Port-o-Bella=Spore
ButterPop(Just recently before I had acces to the internet to check, so just a placeholder name until she was identified)=G3 Caramel Crunch
SugarBerry=Strawberries
G4 Playskool Daisy Dreams=Cheerilee (I still hold by my decision because she looks almost identical to Cheerilee)
Scooter Sprite=Toola Roola (Only because the mark wasn't visible in the Ebay lot picture and I legit thought there was one Scooter Sprite, and one really early Toola Roola)

Princess Primrose, Princess Celestia, Goody Gumdrops, and Pinkie pie all met for lunch. <3
What do you mean Goody Gumdrops isn't a princess? She is in my book. She's precious!

One day I want my very own Takara pony, but Ebay's base price is over a thousand dollars for one.
