Very sad to see it go, it was the first site that got me into collecting but as others have said, it sadly didnt keep up with changes and better websites have come along :-(

Has anyone got downloaded versions of the checklists from the site? The G1 checklisys were really good and Id love to have softcopy versions of them

Thanks, Jem

Pony Corral / Re: My Little Pony Annuals
« on: December 29, 2016, 11:30:04 AM »
The annuals are a UK thing, I'm not sure if there was something similar in Europe?

As far as I know, the G1 Annuals go from 1985 to 1994. There may be a gap where an annual labelled 1995 would be, but was never released since G1 had finished by this point and G2 ponies hadn't come in yet.  If anyone knows different please shout!

The G2 annuals I don't think would have started until a cover year of 1996 but I not sure if there was an annual in 1996-98, only the 1999 one pictured. I haven't seen a G2 annual with a later year than 1999 so I presume that was the latest one of those until the G3 annuals started with 2004.

I assume G4 annuals took over from G3 in around 2010 and are still going?

Starbeam Twinkle was available in the UK as a Tesco Exclusive. We didn't get the other European exclusives as far as I know, they were all available somewhere on the continent

The UK is a pretty small country, I don't think it would make a difference to the cost of shipping from the US to say Scotland, or to the south of England, but I'm prepared to be corrected! ;)

As a buyer, GSP is a pain because it is unnecessarily expensive, especially on lower value items. I don't buy from sellers that use GSP, or I ask them if they will ship by an alternative. First Class International to the UK is pretty reliable and I haven't had a package go missing in over 10 years of ebaying but as to the reliability of shipping First Class to other countries I don't know.

Pony Corral / Re: Show me... FS Coco Pommel !! :D

I just got her at the weekend from The Entertainer in Basingstoke and she is pretty!
No pics sadly but weirdly it seems her UK name is 'Miss Pommel', no reference to Coco anywhere!

I think Woolworths must have been bringing in US imports. My year 10 Birthday Pony is in US box marked with a sticker 'Woolworths exclusive'

Wanted! / WANTED! G4 Wave 9 and Wave 10 Blind Bags
« on: October 14, 2014, 05:13:15 AM »
Hi folks

I need some help with completing my Wave 9 and Wave 10 Blind Bag collections - if you have any of these BBs available, please PM me with details and the price!

Please note that I am only interested in BBs that come complete with the bag and insert card - thanks!

I would prefer a UK seller to save on shipping but would consider non UK seller, especially if they had most of what was on this list :)

Thanks!! Jem x

Pony Corral / Re: Can a pony fade from lamp-light?
« on: May 13, 2014, 04:47:20 AM »
Not sure if the light would affect them as its the UV from natural light that tends to do the damage but you might want to be more worried about heat

I think heat can encourage the plastic to break down

Sweetune on the Arena here is better known as Summer Hayes, the author of the books.

At the MLP Fair last year at her book talk she said she doesn't mind people letting her know about errors they find in the books, she wants them to be as accurate as possible.

Perhaps you could PM her with your discovery?

My Primani hasn't got the Pyjamas or the T Shirt yet but hopefully they will

The Grey Princess Sparkle T Shirt was release in Dec and they are releasing another T Shirt in January

Also, they have ladies knickers/underwear £2.50 a pair, I bought some of these ;)

Pony Corral / Re: Does a MLP snowglobe exist?
« on: January 05, 2014, 09:50:20 PM »
I have seen G1 ones but they are not globes, they are sort of semicircular in shape with a flat base

Hopefully someone will have a pic of one as I don;t have one myself

Pony Corral / Re: Painting a Pony Room- Color Ideas?
« on: January 03, 2014, 06:35:24 PM »
I think white or any light pastel shade of pink, lavender, green or blue would work. Light colours reflect light and the ponies are colourful enough in themselves, you dont need a bright colour to compete with them ;) Yellow might reflect back and make the colours look odd, it seems to amplify the yellowness in electric lights

My ponyroom walls are pink but i had them blue in a previous house
