I've helped at library book sales for years and we'd always get tons of old text books. Some people actually buy them, though the ;library doesn't selll them for much anyway. But that's my suggestion, support local library or Friends of the library if they have a branch near you.

Just kinda wondering if broken G1 porcelains have any value. I've got a busted up Frolicking in the Sky. I can glue it together and It'll still look ok, but If I ever had to reduce my pony horde and sell it, would it be worth trying to sell?
The back piece broke off at the base, both ponies broke off, the pony sticking out of the clouds legs broke off, Pegasus Cherries non display side wing broke off and part of her NDS tail broke.
Are single porcelain ponies worth anything once they are broken?

in person best deals were TAF Baby Dancing butterflies for $1 at a swap meet, Mimic probably .50 @ thrift store and a Moondancer softie with original hangtag and brush for $1. Online, a big lot of g1 porcelains for $50 ( tho shipping was killer). I'm sure Ive had some good deals on ebay but I don't rememerb them.

^_^ thanks all. I never thought i'd be one of the people that finds a rare pony for a steal.
Swap meet is the same as flea market, i just tend to switch the names sometimes

Holy smokes, I'm still so jazzed over this!! I got TAF Baby Dancing Butterflies!!! For only $1 I've never found a rare mail order pony in the times I've been to the swap meet or thrift stores. I'm so excited! She's in Fantastic condition too, maybe even NM! I also got Steamer's bandana at the same table with the Baby Butterfies! oh my gods, best swap meet find of my life so far!

I got a box full of g1 porcelains from a craigslist ad after taking some time and a bit extra $ to convince the seller to ship them to me. As soon as I picked up the box I knew something was broken. Sadly, it was the coolest one, Frolic in the Sky. The box had insurance on it, probably up to $100, I have to get the insurance info from the seller. I've never filed a claim with USPS over damaged goods and am not sure how to do it when I had a box full of stuff and paid well below what I'd have to pay on ebay for each item. The rest of the porcelains were in original boxes with bubble wrap around them and one other had part of a bubble wrap envelope around it and foam. Frolic had some paper and a couple plastic bags around it, it is the only one that was damaged. Since this is an item without a fixed price would I have to provide proof of what it's worth to the post office if I can file a claim? Can I even file a claim for 1 item out of a boxfull of items? I'll probably go talk to someone at the post office about this too, but I won't be able to get there until next Saturday, so I thought I'd see about opinions on this here. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Skyflier is my army pony of choice, and I'd kinda like to try making some custom /alt/ nirvana-esc/etc versions of her. But my creativity has been terribly dormant for years and the only thing I can think to do is "negative" color Skyflier.
Would anyone be willing to offer up some suggestions for me to maybe make later on?

Soo, I found Pony porcelains ff I really want on CL yesterday, but the seller doesn't want to ship them and cant take paypal. She lives in Omro ,WI. Does anyone live nearby that would be willing to pick these up and mail them to me? I'd cover mailing costs of course

I finally repainted a blind bag as Skyflier to add to my army. I used an Ameythst Star who just happens to have the right eye color so I got to avoid totally redoing the eyes. She's the 2nd BB I've painted and I had to make myself be patient with painting so she would look smoother. Heck of a lot easier to be patient with a blind bag than a FBR on a regular sized pony, oyvey. Here she is with big sister Skyflier visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd then with another painted BB, as one of my OC's Cool Beans. I was impatient with Beans and so his paint job is not very smooth. visitors can't see pics , please register or login
