Buttons is one of my favorite MLP so I decided to take on my first deflocking project yesterday, and I wanted to show people the results! I used 100% acetone nail polish remover for the bulk of her, and 90% isopropyl alcohol for her painted areas (although that took a lot of work and I’m looking for other methods for those spots). I’ve read more tutorials and one thing I would do different is that I’d give her some kind of oxy clean bath beforehand.

She’s not perfect and has a small spot here and there, but I decided that when the weather gets better and I can go outside to ventilate I’ll go at her again with the stronger stuff. Overall though I’m pretty happy with the results!! Thanks for checking her out

My name is Ripley! I’m a 26 year old freelance artist, and a gay trans man who loves ponies.
I used to collect them when I was a teenager and perused other forums like the MLP Trading post, so it’s been a long time since I’ve done this sort of thing (about 10+ years). I’ve been reading over the rules and I’m scared of accidentally breaking some since it’s been so long since I used a forum, so my apologies in advance if that happens. I’m reading carefully though.

A little bit about me: I do most of my work on twitter, where I have a regular art account and a toy collecting account, on which I post informational highlights about my favorite MLP. I also really like horror and slashers; Scream is my favorite movie. I spend most of my time drawing, creating original characters with my fiancé, and selling adoptables.

I have a pretty small pony collection right now, as I don’t have a lot of space at the moment:

And a custom Scream-inspired pony made by a fellow artist on twitter (my prized possession)

I also have a box of G2s and a Baby Wiggles coming in the mail, which I’m very excited for.

I’ve been refurbishing them and I’m excited to share them some time! Perhaps I’ll post art as well! Thanks for reading, I’m excited to explore the forums.
