Title: Car Boot success!

I have been car booting for just over a month now and the last two weeks have been very successful. Not pictured are the previous weeks finds, including 7 monster high dolls for £1.40, (another) g4 pinkie pie plush for 20p, and a star catcher bubble bath for a pound.

I apologise if the pictures are bad, imgur seems to be messing them up recently. The ponies are actually made of plastic, not pixels :P

And last Sunday’s: OMG I’m still in shock at the pretty pony! The bag still has the little comb inside, and I got all the g1 stuff for £5. I was just telling my mum how I probably won’t ever own her the other day!

I’m always gonna have strawberry laces with me at the car boot now, I’ve found g1 both times I had them as a snack :P

Unfortunately she doesn’t work anymore. I don’t know if she worked before I bought her, but she was under the table, and I asked the seller how much for the big brown pony, and he grabbed the poor girl by the TAIL! And said, this one? While holding her by it in the air. I was just :shocked:. The part under her chin doesn’t do anything either though so I think she was already broken.

Ah, well at least you got one in the first place. She seems to be in pretty good condition from what I can see! I have seen some less fortunate pretty ponies with rough hair and cracks in their body...
Also I can't believe the seller grabbed her by the tail! The poor pony...well at least she's in better hands now :biggrin:

Post by: Taffeta on April 27, 2018, 12:45:54 AM: Well, she is pretty old, poor baby. She appeared in the 1982 Argos catalogue so she's been roaming around for a good three and a half decades by now :) I'm glad she finally has a good home!

Those annuals are nostalgic. I had the 1990 one as a kid and some others. Also nice to see a G1 in the wild. It's so unusual to see them now at carboot sales but she doesn't seem to have suffered much abuse over the years :D

Also, Breezies :D And a not so common G4 unicorn I think...?

I think now is the right time to be carbooting for Monster High as well. It's the same sort of time period as right after G1 MLP ended. Monster High's stupid prices have started to completely collapse and people are getting rid of collections at toy fairs and boot sales so it's a great time to be picking up nice dolls. I pretty much only ever do at second hand sales or if they're discounted in store - with one or two exceptions my collection (I am picky about which because of space) are all from those locations. So yeah. You might find some really nice stuff in the next couple of years.

Is that the Cotton Candy bag with the tail? I feel like I can see the tail behind the gate. Also nostalgic xD.

ALSO!

I feel like flip Rainbow Dash is a staple of last week's carboot sale for everyone :P

MPP has cleaned up well, most of the marks are gone now!
The funny thing is that all the ponies in the first picture are from the same seller. It’s hard to tell but bow tie (oldest) is in lovely condition, yet lulu luck, the g4 has dry hair, a haircut, pen marks and a serious head body mismatch going on!
