Look at these! I found them in balls at Walmart for $10 each. You get some UV resin and plastic pieces and you can make up a little dish. :) They're the perfect size for G1!

I was going to buy a ball this weekend but couldn't find any. :(  I've heard negative things about the resin that's included though. I'm still excited to try it.

I think they should start showing up more as we go on, it sounds like they were pushed into stores awfully late for the season. :( I hope you can find some soon! I found these by the seasonal section.

I finally got 2 balls today.  :)  I think some stores either haven't got them yet or are waiting until after Christmas to put them out.  I haven't had a chance to open them yet, but will post pics of them after I do.

Walmart.com has two different kinds available and one is priced at 7.99 instead of 9.99.

The ones I bought are pink and I think they are mostly sweets with things like waffles and pancakes thrown in.

My first attempt didn't go as well as I had hoped. :(  I got the mint chocolate shake that's in the 2nd pic.  My set was missing the straw, so I wasn't able to stir the resin properly to make the chocolate chips more evenly distributed. I thought about using a toothpick after I had already put the shake out in the sun to set.  Then I overfilled the glass with resin when trying to add more to add the whipped cream and square pieces and they ended up sinking in to the resin.  :(  I can post a picture if anyone wants to see my failure.  I hope my 2nd try goes better. This was my first time working with resin, so maybe that's why it didn't turn out well.

My 2nd ball had the key lime pie and it turned out a lot better. :)  The instructions said to use the spoon to put the resin in the plastic pie crust, but I poured it directly from the bottle instead. There didn't seem to be enough resin to cover the bottom of the pie crust.

The key lime pie is so cute!! I'm sorry to hear about your milkshake woes! I do think it's easier to use the resin as you go on. I got another ball with waffles in it, I'll post a pic when I remember. :P

Thanks, tailrustedtealeaf. :)  If I get another milkshake I will try to do a better job with it.

I saw this smaller set of balls at Walmart.  I'm pretty sure they don't include the plastic table like the larger ones do.

OMG, this just popped up in my memories… Six years ago for national hot dog day, my work recruited me to make decorations on a ten dollar budget. This is why I want that balloon animal hot dog mini verse make-it!  :biggrin:

I bought a few of the cafe series 2 (I've yet to assemble them), and 4 out of 5 have the top pamphlet. Only one had the bottom pamphlet showing all items. I thought it was weird that some were greyed out, but I assumed they come in those bigger sets. But now I don't think they do... Like they're just trying to make it a mystery of what you can collect...

The "chocolate" resin wasn't opaque enough (or thick enough?) to look like chocolate dipped strawberries which is a bummer. It looks more like they're sitting in chocolate puddles. :huh: I might have to add some paint.
However, I did get the hotdog set! :squee:

I bought four of the Lifestyle ones. I got two different candles and two different plants. No tanks!

Hmm. Okay. These are my first Mini make-its so I'm not sure on the usual quality. Maybe the Florida heat messed up the resin. Anyway. The plants are cute but I didn't care for the candles. For one thing, the wicks which are plastic, were all crooked and I couldn't fix them. The lavender candle resin was fine and they came with scented sprinkles which... do not smell anything like lavender :lol: The rose candle resin was so hard to get out of the bottle I had to cut it open and scoop the resin out with a little spoon. There was too much resin for the lavender ones but not enough for the rose ones. The rose glows in the dark.

The plants were a bit messy. I think the potting soil is kinetic sand? Or maybe very fine plastic pieces. The rocks are plastic too. My cactuses didn't want to stand up but after I "planted" them they were fine.

I bought four more, hoping to get a fish tank. At least, I hope I don't get doubles.

edit: Aw, I'm so bummed out :( The newest four had three doubles! And I got another plant. No fish :(

Sorry you didn't get a fish tank yet BC.  I'm also sorry you got so many doubles.  I haven't tried doing the lifestyle ones yet, but I had trouble with the resin on one of the food ones I did.  I finally poked a hole in the top of the bottle and used it that way.  I hope you get the fish tank.

I bought another four, this time from Walmart. The others I got from Amazon. The Walmart ones needed to be shipped and won't be here until the 14th. I'm hoping since it's different stock I'll get four new ones.

I'd like to trade my doubles if anyone is interested. I have the lavender and rose candles and the two cactus.

I saw the lifestyle line ONCE, and when I returned they were sold out. I have been unable to find them since. However, I’m going to a different part of town later this week, so I’ll keep my eyes peeled.  :satisfied:

Ugh! My four from Walmart came today and I got two doubles! Still no fish tanks! I got a new candle and cactus.

I'm not buying anymore blind. I'd rather pay a little more each and get the ones I want. There are sellers on etsy who have them.

I've decided I don't like the candles. And this last cactus is kind of plain and didn't want to stand up even after putting in the soil. I love the succulents though. Wish I had gotten the ones with the terrariums.

Welp. Just discovered something bad about the plants with the loose stones. If you knock them over those tiny plastic stones go everywhere! I am not looking forward to picking them all up. I think I'll mix them with glue before I put them back so it doesn't happen again. I need a better place to put them.

Based on reviews here and on Amazon, I think these are a cute idea but need better execution. I saw Amazon reviews where people bought multiples and got mostly doubles, just like you, BC. :( And there are quality control issues too, I saw someone's review where they opened up one the packages and some pieces were missing. Such a shame.

Yeah, I wasn't missing anything in mine, but they had been knocked out of their holders, like the little tweezers and trowel. Still really miffed about the crooked candle wicks too.

I'm thinking about getting at least one lfestyle ball.  I've only seen 1 store with them in stock around me.

Has anyone had problems with the kitchen?  I was looking at reviews on Amazon and a lot of people are saying their kitchen is defective.  The UV light doesn't work or stops working after using it once.
