What is this? G3 Toy

I was searching for ponies on my last trip out to Goodwill this past week, when I came across this thing:

I know it's part of the G3 line, based on the logo. On the bottom is listed a copyright of 2003. When you pull/push it, the cake (?) spins around. I would guess that a G3 pony fits in the cake, but I completely spaced on checking.

So, pony peeps. Anyone have any idea what this thing is that I've found, and what (if anything) it might be worth?

It came with G3 Glitter Glide It's missing the blue piece that her ice skates go in.
